This picture (showing the 24th to the 40th floors) begins a series of the iconic Guardian Building in downtown Detroit, Michigan. It was built during the heyday of Detroit, completed in early 1929. Unfortunately, a world-wide economic disaster, the "Great Depression" began at the end of 1929.
The Guardian Building was a standout, built of an orange brick, with ornamental tile highlights amid a sea of gray limestone and marble skyscrapers. It was topped with a crown of lights that was spectacular at night. Its interior, in Aztec-Art Deco, that was so exceptionally striking, will be shown in upcoming pictures.

Flowers on a cactus. Although beautiful, the whole show only lasts 1 day. you will see the large bud and know that it is coming soon, but you need to check it each morning. It will be at its best early in the day and gradually deteriorate and be completely gone by that evening.

Es además una zona de especial protección para las aves (ZEPA) y parte de la Reserva de la Biosfera La Mancha Húmeda. Con 192 025 visitantes anualmente (2015), las Tablas de Daimiel es el decimotercer parque nacional más visitado de España.
Las Tablas son uno de los últimos representantes de un ecosistema denominado tablas fluviales que se forman al desbordarse los ríos en sus tramos medios, favorecidos por fenómenos de semiendorreísmo y la escasez de pendientes. El humedal se forma en la confluencia del río Guadiana y su afluente Cigüela y es uno de los ecosistemas acuáticos más importantes de la península ibérica por la variedad y calidad de la fauna y flora que habitan en ella, así como por aquellas aves que la emplean en los pasos migratorios. Las Tablas sirve de refugio a más de 2.000 especies (plantas, aves, insectos, peces, réptiles... ).
Las Tablas son el último representante de un ecosistema denominado tablas fluviales que se forman por los desbordamientos de los ríos en sus tramos medios, favorecidos por fenómenos de semiendorreísmo y por la escasez de pendientes.

Ha sido escenario de importantes estrenos de zarzuela y de todas las ediciones del Festival Internacional de Cine de San Sebastián hasta 1999, en las que el teatro fue escenario de acontecimientos como los estrenos mundiales de las películas Vértigo y Con la muerte en los talones de Alfred Hitchcock. Entre los años 2001 y 2007 se llevó a cabo el más profundo proceso de reforma del teatro. A lo largo de su siglo de historia ha sido el epicentro de la vida cultural de la ciudad y se ha erigido en uno de los más activos e importantes teatros de España.
El Teatro Victoria Eugenia, de estilo neorrenacentista español y neoplateresco y cuya entrada principal está situada en el Paseo de la República Argentina, ocupa una superficie total de 2.400 m². Mientras que un gran número de edificios del siglo XIX en San Sebastián son de clara influencia francesa, el exterior del edificio está inspirado en el palacio de Monterrey de Salamanca. En la fachada principal hay cuatro bustos, correspondientes al Conde de Peñaflorida, Arriaga, Eslava, Gayarre, Gaztambide y Santesteban. Las fachadas del edificio son de piedra arenisca, material típico de las construcciones de la época en la ciudad.
The Victoria Eugenia Theater (in Euskera Victoria Eugenia Antzokia) is a theater located in the city of San Sebastián (Spain). Work of the architect Francisco de Urcola, was inaugurated in 1912. It has been the scene of important releases of zarzuela and of all the editions of the San Sebastian International Film Festival until 1999, in which the theater was the scene of events such as the world premieres of the films Vertigo and With death on the heels of Alfred Hitchcock. Throughout its century of history it has been the epicenter of the cultural life of the city and has become one of the most active and important theaters in Spain.
The Victoria Eugenia Theater, of Neo-Renaissance Spanish and Neoplateresque style and whose main entrance is located on the Paseo de la República Argentina, occupies a total area of 2,400 m². While a large number of nineteenth-century buildings in San Sebastian are clearly influenced by France, the exterior of the building is inspired by the Monterrey Palace in Salamanca.On the main facade there are four busts, corresponding to the Count of Peñaflorida, Arriaga, Eslava, Gayarre, Gaztambide and Santesteban. The facades of the building are sandstone, typical material of the buildings of the time in the city.
