Wikipedia: Momordica charantia (commonly called bitter melon; Goya; bitter apple; bitter gourd; bitter squash; balsam-pear; with many more names listed below)[1] is a tropical and subtropical vine of the family Cucurbitaceae, widely grown in Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean for its edible fruit. Its many varieties differ substantially in the shape and bitterness of the fruit.

NC State University: Momordica charantia is a vigorous, tendril-bearing, frost tender, annual vine of the cucumber family that will grow rapidly to 12-20’ long in a single growing season. Plants are generally grown like cucumbers. Best on a trellis.

Bitter melon has twice the beta carotene of broccoli, twice the potassium of bananas, and twice the calcium of spinach. It also contains high amounts of fiber, phosphorous, and Vitamins C, B1, B2, and B3. They produce after cucumbers are dried up and done for the season.

Momordica charantia 23W41 Bitter Melon N4- (Asian) Bitter Melon, Mature plant size: 55Days, YELLOW, USDA Hardiness Zone Veg, Michigan Bloom Week ISO WW33, In Garden Bed N4 for 287 DAYS (C3). Planted in 2022.

Rose pink Cushion Mum. Low mounds. Advertised as a short 12 inch plant. Mine is ~24 inches tall. Cushion mums are a type of hardy mum or garden mum. The name comes from the way they form a mound or cushion of bloom.

2020 note: Vigorous plant. Quite hardy. Many of the so called hardy mums that I have planted here in Michigan do not make it over winter. This one has survived 3 winters. Not sure of the plants origin, but it seems as hardy as the old time Korean heirlooms. If it is an heirloom, the name would suggest a more recent "marketing" moniker. Bluestone Perennials is the only nursery that I am aware of that carries this plant.

Swan Island: Beautiful 6" blooms of black red are an excellent variety for cutting. Nice contrast when used with almost any color in floral arrangements or garden plantings. Plant height is 4 1/2'

2021 note: Very dark red. Not that many blooms. Attractive. Fairly large tubers, easy divide.
