After several minutes of us watching the calf we noticed Moma come over to check out what was going on.
I don't know, but she seemed to have a stern look about her!
Aufgrund einer festen Bremse eines vorausfahrenden Zuges war der Schnittholzganzzug Hengersberg-Brake an diesem Tag etwas später als gewöhnlich unterwegs. 159 231 bespannte den fotogenen Zug und konnte unweit von Parsberg fotografiert werden.
Eines der fotogensten Züge auf der Regensburger Schiene ist meiner Ansicht nach der EVB Schnittholzzug, welcher jeden Dienstag mit 159 nach Brake verkehrt. Am 09.05. war 159 231 für die Leistung eingeteilt und konnte bei Sinngrün fotografiert werden.

Ab und zu verkehren die beiden EVB Eurodual 159 auf bis Hengersberg. Am 02.08. war 159 231 mit dem zweiten Teil des am Tag zuvor angekommenen Holzzuges von Plattling nach Hengersberg unterwegs und konnte kurz vor dem Ziel fotografiert werden.

Am Nachmittag erwartete ich kurz nach Straubing den DGS 41160 Budapest-Wanne, der mit 193 231 bespannt war. Nach kurzem Aufenthalt in Straubing, um ICE und Agilis überholen zu lassen, rollte der Walter-Blockzug Regensburg entgegen.
Die Retour wurde bei leider etwas Schlonz bei Rüdigheim abgepasst. Dennoch finde ich, kann man das Bild ruhig zeigen :)

The strangeness of the subdued light is due to low hanging thunder filled clouds overhead.
Unfazed by the earth shaking thunder soon this lady and I were scrambling for cover as the sky opened wide.
