Do you find that there are certain locations that, although you’ve photographed many times before, you still can’t resist returning to? I really love the beauty of this place. Sunset on Oak Grove Lake.
Taken on the same trip as my previous post. This is the Titanic Museum in Belfast, which is lit up vividly at Christmas.
I like the wide angle distortion on the sign in the bottom corners here. I couldn't move further back without getting a strong street light in the frame and this was the widest this lens goes. It was a struggle to fit everything in so I angled the frame, which I think fits with the shot ok.

Bei einem Rundgang durch das malerische Collobrières im Maurenmassiv sind mir einige Fotografien an den alten Fassaden aufgefallen, die in Verbindung mit der direkten Umgebung eine interessante Wirkung entfalten...Das Foto im Foto ist von INES THODE-SONNTAG....Seit 17.06.21 endlich wieder maskenfrei im Freien zu bestaunen....

The cage was never locked, but she had forgotten how to push the door. Years of silence had curled around her like vines, holding her in place. One morning, she saw it—a crack of light spilling through the bars, a taste of air that didn’t feel stolen.

The sea called her next, its rhythm a heartbeat older than time. She walked to the shore, her footprints new on the sand. The waves kissed her ankles, cool and insistent, as if saying, “Come further.”
She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, the salt and sun tangling inside her. It felt like birth—like the first breath she’d ever taken. In that moment, hope unfolded within her, soft and unbroken.
The cages were behind her now, forgotten. Ahead was only sky, sea, and the endless possibility of flight.

In the back you see the water tower of the gas works Mariendorf Berlin. Build by the English company Imperial Continental Gas Association between the years of 1900 - 1901 under the director Edward Drory it was the most modern facility of the times in the area of Berlin. It was closed in 1996 and since then it is a listed building.

Τα Κορέστεια είναι μια ιστορική περιοχή της Δυτικής Μακεδονίας. Πρόκειται για μια συστάδα ορεινών οικισμών (Άνω και Κάτω Κρανιώνα, Χάλαρα, Άνω και Κάτω Μελάς, Μακροχώρι, Μαυρόκαµπος, Άγιος Αντώνιος, Γάβρος) που παρουσιάζουν έντονο αρχιτεκτονικό και πολιτισμικό ενδιαφέρον. Η παραδοσιακή αρχιτεκτονική των χωριών είναι ιδιαίτερη για την περιοχή της Δυτικής Μακεδονίας. Τα παλαιά σπίτια είναι κατασκευασμένα με πλίνθους με κοκκινόχωμα και άχυρο, που δίνουν το κοκκινωπό χρώμα στο τοπίο της περιοχής. Ο τρόπος κατασκευής των σπιτιών διατηρήθηκε έως τα μέσα του 20ου αιώνα και έπειτα εγκαταλείφθηκε.
Korestia is a historic region of Western Macedonia in Greece. It’s a cluster of mountain villages (Ano and Kato Kranionas, Halara, Ano and Kato Melas, Makrochori, Mavrokampos, Agios Antonios, Gavros) exhibiting strong architectural and cultural interest. The traditional architecture of the villages is great for the region of Western Macedonia. Old houses are constructed with handmade bricks with red clay and straw, giving a reddish color to the landscape. The construction of the houses was maintained until the mid-20th century and then abandoned.
