So auch hier - ein Haifisch-Beobachtungsboot wirft Fischabfälle ins Wasser um Haie anzulocken, ein paar Brocken fallen da für die Möwen mit Sicherheit ab. .
Menschen in Tauchanzügen stehen in einem Käfig, also sicher vor eventuellen Haiangriffen und hoffen einige dieser gefährlichen Burschen aus nächster Nähe unter Wasser beobachten zu können.
Na, ob das heute hinhaut.

It's the same here - a shark-watching boat throws fish waste into the water to attract sharks, and a few chunks are sure to fall off for the gulls. .
People in diving suits stand in a cage, safe from possible shark attacks, hoping to observe some of these dangerous fellows at close range under water.
I wonder if that will work today.
Van woensdag 17 juni t/m zaterdag 20 juni 2026 stond in de agenda’s van mijn treinenspotmaat en ik een treinenspottripje naar Tsjechië. Het is dan iedere keer weer afwachten wat het weer en de omlopen doen. Het leek qua weer vooraf wat twijfelachtig. De omlopen zijn soms nog minder voorspelbaar dan het weer. Er werd toch gekozen om te gaan en dat is een zeer goede keuze geweest. De foto’s kwamen met het nodige geluk, uiteraard goede keuzes 😉 en sterke verhalen tot stond. Iedere dag bleek maar weer dat alle voorbereidingen door het weer en de omlopen voor een deel richting de prullenbak konden. Improviseren aan de hand van de wolkenradar en een blik in de omlopen was de enige zekerheid.
Vrijdag 19 juni was ook weer zo’n dag. De weersvoorspellingen waren heel gunstig en daarom werd vanuit ons hotel nabij Praag naar het gebied ten zuiden van Plzeň gereden. Daar werden de Duikbrillen op de lijnen naar Železná Ruda en Domažlice gespot op een deze fraaie lijnen nu het nog kan. Nadat er drie verschillende Duikbrillen (twee kleurvarianten) en een 842 werden vastgelegd in het zonnetje, werd een lange rit van ruim drie uren gemaakt naar de diesellijn Jihlava -Brno. We hadden gezien dat de fraaie Duikbrillen 754 018 en 750 705 in de omlopen opdoken. Deze locs werden op drie verschillende stekken gefotografeerd. Tussendoor hadden we ook nog mooi tijd om op het fraaie station van Luka nad Jihlavou een trein vast te leggen. Dat werd een 843 in oude kleurstelling. Echt een lekkere meevaller!

Dover 28-07-1984. Eastern Scottish MSF 747P is a Seddon Pennine 7 / Alexander that was new in June 1976. I took quite a number of photos of this coach model but had completely forgotten they were on different chassis. Not much of them on Seddon I saw now.

Found this while looking for a piano (there is one there!) for the treasure hunt... :-) Luckily my dentist collects old tin toys, and displays them (safely locked into a cabinet) in his waiting room!

The Lincoln Tank Memorial on Tritton Road roundabout, Lincoln, Lincolnshire.
The £100,000 memorial is a representation of the Mark I Foster Tank, first designed and built in Lincoln in 1916, and placed close to the Wellington Foundry where it was produced.
Reminding visitors and residents of Lincoln of an important slice of the city’s history, the structure was gifted by the Lincoln Tank Memorial Group.
The striking design of the memorial pass tribute to the men and women who worked on the production line at William Foster and Co Lincoln.
The first prototype of the Mark I was produced in 1915, with full production commencing in 1916. The Memorial also pays homage to the designers and manufacturers Willian Tritton, William Rigby and Walter Wilson. It is intended to recognise the huge effort made by civilian men and women during both world wars, when the majority of production from the many factories in the city was switched to war work.
