Nach 143, 145, 182 und 146.0 sind die 146.2 bereits die fünfte Baureihe die in den letzten 10 Jahren die Züge der Dresdner S1 über die Elbtalbahn ziehen darf. Die ehemalige Stuttgarter 146 226 rollt hier mit ihrer S-Bahn nach Bad Schandau durch die berühmte Rathener Fotokurve.

After 143, 145, 182 and 146.0, the 146.2 is already the fifth class that has been allowed to pull the S1 trains on the Elbe Valley Railway during the last 10 years. The former Stuttgarter 146 226 passes through the famous Rathen photo curve with its S-Bahn to Bad Schandau.

A superb lp mini break with Quornflake, Mart and Phill in Llanberis. The slate quarry there is insanely massive with far too much to shoot in one evening. The day was spent reccying all the nooks and crannies which in itself was a mammoth task. When night fell we headed to our first spot and got cracking.

It was was great to get out with you all chaps and quality to finally meet Mart.

I think we will return here as this really doesn't do the location any justice and there is so much left to shoot including the most insane but hard to access spot I've ever seen. Here's to next time.

Known as robber fly or assassin fly. They are their notoriously aggressive in their predatory habits; they feed mainly or exclusively on other insects and they wait in ambush and catch its prey in flight.

It landed on my finger after I took this. Perhaps I look like a bug.
