SÜDAFRIKA( South-Africa), Rund um den Hluhluwe - Imfolozi- Nationalpark, Trotz miserablem Wetter treffen wir doch noch auf einige Breitmaulnashörner. 5 Meter weg vom Auto dieser prächtige Bulle.
Das Breitmaulnashorn (Ceratotherium simum) oder Breitlippennashorn ist ein Säugetier aus der Familie der Nashörner. Die teilweise gebrauchte Bezeichnung Weißes Nashorn leitet sich vom englischen Trivialnamen White rhinoceros ab. Die Art lebt in den Grassavannen Afrikas und stellt den einzigen noch lebenden Vertreter der Gattung Ceratotherium dar. Zudem ist das Breitmaulnashorn die größte rezente Nashornart. Der Verbreitungsschwerpunkt liegt heute im südlichen Afrika.

The sometimes used name white rhinoceros is derived from the English trivial name White rhinoceros. The species lives in the grass savannahs of Africa and is the only living representative of the genus Ceratotherium. In addition, the white rhino is the largest extant rhino species. The focus of distribution is now in southern Africa.

Just before going away on holiday (York rather than the planned Italy... change of plan thanks to volcanic activity), our little photoclub at work was given a guest presentation by the remarkable sosij. It was on taking self portraits, and on where her inspiration comes from.
She takes a self-portrait pretty much every day, and is extremely creative. We've all been challenged to give it a go ourselves... though not at the rate of one a day! It's not something I take naturally to, and this is the best effort I could come up with while in York in the crowded town centre and without a tripod :)

By 2017, the numbers of MCW Metrobuses entering the breakers yards were getting few and far between. Former West Midlands 2685 was a late WM arrival to the yards having been formerly preserved.
Despite having extensive work done to the vehicle when it first entered preservation, it had sadly stood neglected at West Midlands, Walsall bus garage for some years.
Now heavily cannibalised for parts, the bus has been retained by PVS, at least for the short term to allow the vehicle to be further stripped. I know that a lot of parts from this bus went to assist the rebuilds of other Metrobuses, before it was finally dismantled. A kind gesture from the yard owner.
Next to 2685 was former First Bradford 31761 (R922WOE), chalked as 'Don't touch' presumably giving it a brief reprieve? Next to 31761, Stagecoach Manchester 22335 and sister 22328 were not earmarked for any kind of reprieve.

I was cooking supper and running outside every few minutes in order to catch the Moon as it cleared the hill a kilometre to the East of us. I was lucky to catch it just starting to cross the tree line and I took a dozen pictures. But this one, taken five or ten minutes later with it having cleared the distant trees, is my favourite.

The Great Ouse is the largest and longest of several British rivers called 'Ouse'. With a course of 143 miles (230 km), mostly flowing north and east, it is the fourth-longest river in the United Kingdom.
The Great Ouse has been historically important for commercial navigation, and for draining the low-lying region through which it flows; its best-known tributary is probably the Cam, which runs through Cambridge. Its lower course passes through drained wetlands and fens and has been extensively modified, or channelised, to relieve flooding and provide a better route for barge traffic. Though the un-modified river probably changed course regularly after floods, it now enters the Wash after passing through the port of King's Lynn, south of its earliest-recorded route to the sea.
An SNCF BB 22200 ((1)22328) Electric Locomotive sits at the end of Gare du Nord Station. VT2, an SNCF Track Measuring Train, sits in a neighboring platform. VT2 is the sole survivor from a batch of 3 SNCF track measuring trains, VT, VT2 and VT3. The other two being destroyed by fire.

Colectivo de artistas urbanos nacido a finales de 2001 en Madrid, España. El término “Boa Mistura”, del portugués “buena mezcla”, hace referencia a la diversidad de formaciones y puntos de vista de sus miembros. Visiones distintas que se influencian y se mezclan en favor de un resultado único. Formado por el Arquitecto Javier Serrano “Pahg”, el Ingeniero de Caminos Rubén Martín “rDick”, el Publicista Pablo Purón “Purone” y los Licenciados en Bellas Artes Pablo Ferreiro “Arkoh” y Juan Jaume “Derko”. Su obra se desarrolla principalmente en el espacio público, habiendo llevado a cabo proyectos en Sudáfrica, Noruega, Berlín o Sao Paulo. De Nez cassés locomotieven zijn een familie van Franse elektrische en diesel-elektrische locomotieven gebouwd door Alsthom van het midden van de jaren 1960 tot de jaren 1980.
De BB 22200 is de laatste serie gebroken neuzen met 205 machines geleverd tussen 1976 en 1986.
De bijnaam Nez-caissé kwam laat, op zijn vroegst in de jaren 2000, en verspreidde zich via internet en sociale netwerken. Het komt van de voor de hand liggende analogie geïnspireerd door de unieke vorm van de voorkant van deze machines.
Hier passeert de 22328, als trein 4655 van Bordeaux-st.Charles naar Marseille, door de wijnvelden bij Carcassonne.
Les locomotives Nez cassés sont une famille de locomotives électriques et diesel-électriques françaises construites par Alsthom du milieu des années 1960 aux années 1980.
Le BB 22200 est la dernière série de nez cassés avec 205 machines livrées entre 1976 et 1986.
Le surnom de Nez-caissé est arrivé tardivement, au plus tôt dans les années 2000, et s’est répandu sur Internet et les réseaux sociaux. Cela vient de l’analogie évidente inspirée par la forme unique de la façade de ces machines.
Ici le 22328, comme le train 4655 de Bordeaux-st.Charles à Marseille, traverse les vignobles proches de Carcassonne.
La gare d'Amiens, autrefois appelée Gare du Nord, est située sur la place Alphonse Fiquet, en retrait du boulevard Beauvillé. Elle est la gare principale de la ville, et se partage les dessertes avec la gare Saint Roch.
Au dessus de la Loco on aperçoit la Tour Pérret de 104m dans la brume.

La rame FLIRT LEX RABe 522 224 a été accidentée le 1er mai 2020 en gare de Genève. En manoeuvre à vide au nord du centre d'entretien CEG elle éjecta le butoir à l'extrémité de la voie de garage C 44 et s'échoua contre le mur au bas du pont de l'avenue de France.
La remise du bogie déraillé sur les voies nécessita de gros moyens le 2 mai 2020.
Le heurtoir explosé par la 522 224 était du même type que ceux visibles au premier plan.
L'arrondi du mur au point d'impact a minimisé la violence du choc.
