Kurt Grasso’s, (Bridgeton, NJ) magnificent “GRASSOCAT” (what a great name), it appears to be a HIGHLY modified Grumman G-164 Ag Cat with a Pratt & Whitney R-1340 radial engine of 600 hp. We chose it for the Massey Choice Award. In addition to Antique Aircraft Assoc. awards given out by the Potomac Antique Aero Squadron, we at the Massey Aerodrome decided to jump on board with an award of own and make a Massey’s Choice Award with absolutely no criteria other than we couldn’t resist the appeal of one particular plane at the event - no “judgy judging” involved. (We do it shamelessly in hopes that the recipient will feel obligated to come back again)
