Op 11 juni 2017 hebben de NS Flirt-3 stellen de dienst Tilburg Universiteit - Eindhoven (- Weert) overgenomen van de DDZ4-stellen. Op zondag 9 juli 2017 kon ik stel 2221 als SP 5248 naar Tilburg Universiteit vastleggen bij vertrek uit station Oisterwijk.
