Visited a farmer's market yesterday and found this garlic. I love the long stems, it makes them seem so elegant. Fighting with the clouds this morning to get my light.
I am declaring August a month of black and white for my 366 images. I really want to focus on light and shadow and have a collage at the end of the month that reflects this goal.

Constructed in 1936 by the Civilian Conservation Corps and still in use. Shelters are used to provide overnight protection from the elements. The CCC built several of these shelters in this park and at many other parks across the United States during the 1930s and 40s. The shelters provide a place of solitude for hikers that travel through the area. Isolated from the rest of the park with access only by this gravel road that threads through the park. The bare winter trees makes for a lonely setting with the tall trees, a great place to connect with the forest.
