One of the rides found on the Oktoberfest 2025.
I did some longer exposures of this thing later that evening, only to find out that the entire tower starts shaking when the carousel gains speed - giving the impression of a badly blurry, unsharp image.

This scene caused me to stop my car and find a spot to pull over. The abandoned building, horse, and mountain in the background was absolutely beautiful. I took a few pictures with different frames and liked this one the best. I have no idea what the grafitti says. As was common during our trip, there was a cloud cover in the shot.
My camera does not have the ability to track locations of shots and I did not sync it up to an app on my phone so the location of this shot is where I am pretty sure I took it.

This picture was taken on my trip to Berlin a few weeks ago. We visited the Holocaust Memorial. 4 different nationalities are sitting on one stone of the Memorial
check out the story :-D
Hope you are not getting fed up with it yet. I wanted to show the buildings in natural light so you can see more building details.
I also added a new base; using a new base technique - again :-D
It's leaves underneath to create a curved surface. Didn't work that well...
I talked to my buddy Emil Lidé about that idea and he came up with something quite better :-D
Two from earlier this week now, both taken on Transport for Cornwall's route 95 from Truro to Wadebridge, Camelford and Bude.
The 95 has been operated by a number of operators in recent years. Western Greyhound operated it as the 595, without extensions to Truro, until they dissolved early in 2015. Stagecoach took over the contract for a year or so, operating it from Bude outstation. First Kernow then won the route and operated it from 2017 onwards as the 95, tweaking the route to include extensions to Truro and even some through to Newquay as the 94 for one summer. Earlier this year, when Plymouth Citybus (under the Transport for Cornwall brand) took over.
I've got all four operators in the small village of Crackington Haven now, and here is TfC's 2025 heading towards Truro. This bus was extremely busy - not even considering social distancing!
2025 .... Merry Christmas once again to all of my Flickr friends (this guy has more than achieved his 15 minutes of fame - purchased by a Dutch post card company and featured on an Irish Nun's christmas calendar - I donated the photo to them after they requested it way back when). Happy Holidays and wishing you a wonderful new year. All the best!

2024 ... Hello again - Merry Christmas to my Flickr friends (I somehow forgot to bring this fellow forward last year?)

2020
And yet again ... that's 10 years in a row now. A full decade of annual appearances by this very little snowman at Christmas (he is only about 10 cm's tall). He has appeared on an Irish Christmas Calendar and is available for purchase from a Dutch card company. I donated his image to the Irish charity that made the request and I was promised payment by the Dutch company that requested use of the photo but I have yet to see a dime.
All the best to you and yours! Stay safe and healthy in 2021 - Happy Holidays!

2012
I am too lazy this year to set up anything to photograph that suits the holiday spirit so I will take the easy way out and bring forward a previous year's offering. In spite of my laziness, I sincerely wish everyone safe and happy holidays ... I hope the new year brings good things for all ... as Lord Alfred Tennyson said:
"Ring out the old, ring in the new, Ring, happy bells, across the snow: The year is going, let him go; Ring out the false, ring in the true."
I will catch up with your photostreams in a few days.

2011
I had great fun yesterday for an hour photographing Christmas miniatures - our home looks a wee bit like a Christmas gift shop as I write this ... no thanks to Rosa, the resident Christmas Elf!
This fellow is quite small but very photogenic I think and has made a special request to be viewed large on black - press L on your keyboard to make him happy. The background is some equally kitschy wrapping paper that refracts the light in glorious ways ... my best wishes to all of my Flickr friends for the holidays and may 2012 be a grand and great year for each of you!
My attention to Flickr will be sporadic over the holidays so please accept my apologies in advance if I miss some of your great photography during the next week or so ... I shall endeavour to catch up in the new year.
Posing in the park. A short off-road shakedown ride for the latest bike in my collection. A nod to the pre-mtb rough-stuffers. The frame is a 1987 Raleigh 'Royal'. Every component is ad hoc, mostly from the parts bin.
