Every fisherman knows early morning is the best time for fishing, so as the mist rises on Stony Lake in central Ontario, this boat is waiting for it’s occupants. I spent many early mornings on this lake with my father always hoping to get the big one. Most of the time it was just nibbles.
On a tour of Belfast in Northern Ireland we saw these lovely medieval ruins of Dunluce Castle in County Antrim.
Well I finally have managed to get back to Flickr after quite a while. I have more recently been on annual leave but also life gets in the way of my photography sometimes! Anyway I look forward to catching up with you again.
Harvest time at the Palouse...Since I am Planning on another trip back to the Palouse This August I thought I might post some photos that I took on my 2017 trip. I was only in the Palouse for a few hours and I wished that I had more time to explore this beautiful area of America.

In this shot I had just finished pushing down some small trees and brush to improve the view of Seneca Rocks from this tent site area.
Lumberjack, logger, able to use a chain saw - all of these words came pouring out of Fred's mouth. I kept shaking my head no and Fred the Area Manager decided that it would be best if I drove the tractor. The tractor is a very important tool. With the grapple attachment on the front it can pick up and carry away large piles of brush or large sections of cut up trees, In many cases a little extra pressure from the tractor pushing on the tree can help nudge it to falling where you want it when cut. It saves hours of work in cleaning up the mess. I believe we cut down around 80-90 trees from 10- 30 inches in diameter.
So how hard could it be to run a campground? It fell in our laps so we decided to give it a try! I will put up a series of photos of our campground life.
This is where I spent 3 months (July - early October) as a Campground manager. Seneca Shadows Campground in Seneca Rocks, West Virginia. It is in the Seneca Rocks - Spruce Knob Recreation area that is part of the Monongahela National Forest

I haven't posted a current photo of Greyson since July 9, what's wrong with me. On Sunday we went to a small splash pad at Charlies Dump in Jenison. Yes Charlies Dump is/was a name of a park in Jenison, Been that way for over 40 years. This area used to be owned by a guy named Charlie and everyone dumped there junk/trash/yard waste there. But of course since they put in this play area they changed the name to Rosewood Park.....boring.
OK - normally I'd say "Always lock both wheels". Well, this rider did - with two substantial and as yet unbroken D-locks - but then abandoned their bike for at least two years ...

Cincinnati skyline from this past Friday night from a parks overlook on the Kentucky side of the Ohio River. I got kinda lucky that both the Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds were both playing at home.
