On this 2016 June afternoon, I had scoured the cliffs to find the two young male fledglings. Finally, I spotted them through a narrow gap in the trees. To get this perspective I scaled the side of the cliff, mounted a rental 600mm lens on my tripod, and, balancing carefully as a monopod, eked out a tiny viewing window. In this frame, a fledgling peregrine peers longingly up at his brother (out of frame on the ledge above) who managed to snatch a meal from Dad during a food exchange. Eventually, the foodless fledgling flew up to the ledge above and snagged a bit of meat.

This was taken two years ago when I attended a class in Chicago for wok. I spent the evening at Pier Park and watched a small storm roll through.

From the archives......June 2016, South Haven, Michigan.
This is where I was practicing the street photography technique of "fishing". That is where one seeks out a location and sets up his shot and waits for something to happen in his composition.
I did this while my wife and daughters shopped, great way to pass the time away.
Had a chance to venture a little further today for Sunset to close out the week!
Well, the sky didn't exactly burn as expected however it was pleasant enough for us to call it a week! The closure of Singapore's River Regatta event (32th) was celebrated by a small fireworks show, all captured within the 3min exposure :)

Photographed at the Watson family cottage on Peninsula Lake near Huntsville, in the District of Muskoka, Ontario, Canada
Every spring for decades we see new broods of Mallard (and sometimes Merganser) ducklings swimming with their mothers along the shoreline of our lake. Usually they start off with somewhere between 6 and 10 or so, but predators such as weasels and loons rapidly diminish their numbers, even day to day. The evening before I made this photo, there were seven rather than six in this family. Ah, cruel nature!

Sunset from Sunday night at the Bend Area. It was quite a show last night as the sun was setting.
Not the easiest location to reach in the morning if you do not drive.
It was a calm and peaceful morning with myself feeling abit of a minority as 2 Pentax K1 users were firing away just next to me!
Update: Well well it's not much by EXPLORE # 263 on June 11 , 2016 :), thanks for dropping by, FAVs and comments
National Rhododendron Garden November2nd 2016.
June 2021 unprecedented winds tore through the Dandenongs causing untold damage. WE believe this glorious garden escaped the worst of it but still many trees were uprooted or smashed.
