Eastern purple bladderwort (Utricularia purpurea) is an aquatic carnivorous plant that is endemic to parts of North and Central America. It has the ability to prey on aquatic arthropods that are trapped and digested in specialized swellings or bladders on the roots. Here the purple flowers emerge from the water surface of a wetland in West Quebec, Canada.

Intempo (as M letter) is a 47-floor, 202-metre-high skyscraper building in Benidorm, Spain. It is the tallest building in the city of Benidorm and the tallest residential building in the European Union.

Two people take a dip in the Libyan Sea as the sun descends in the distance. Taken at Damnoni beach, near plakias, Crete.
It was a cool, foggy day (in the low 60's) so not many people hiked down to the beach. But it was a perfect day for hiking! By the way, the beach is named "Sandy Beach" :)

Entrust (hands) sculpture is on the west shore of Derwent Water, on the lake-shore path, near the High Brandlehow jetty in the English Lake District National Park. The sculpture was commissioned by the National Trust from John Merrill to celebrate 100 years of Brandelhow Park.

This immature Red-Necked Grebe was plying the waters of Westchester Lagoon while its parents slumbered. This was my first experience seeing grebe family behavior. Right after seeing the family I was treated to the chittering the young Grebe subjected the parents to, in essence saying it was hungry and please find fish. After spending time feeding the young bird the parents took a nap and I was amused to see that this young bird was then able to fish for itself quite capably.

I wonder what the animals think about not having any visitors?
It's been over 10 weeks since I have been able to see my furry friends. Although I miss them I will patiently wait until it's safe to visit again.
