TRRA's 201 job made quick work of departing Madison Yard and rolling through St. Louis on this late afternoon. With the early sunsets, it's a tough job to catch with any daylight. We found some rays of light at Compton Ave and luckily, nothing was parked on any of the "High Speed" tracks.

No. 201 has been sold to the city of Anna, Texas and is undergoing cosmetic restoration. It will be moved to Shereley Heritage Park when restoration is completed (expected to be July 2019)

We were lucky to hear that 201 was a straight pull out of Madison Yard this afternoon. That meant they would still be in some daylight as they traversed the downtown area of St. Louis. We found some slivers of light near O'Fallon & Biddle Streets. 201 wasted no time coming down the Merchants District (nice to see it slow order free). The 4002 / 4001 set continue to be kept clean and the TRRA red is a favorite to get in the snow.

A vicious cold front rolled into Calgary this weekend but i decided to point my camera and freeze for this interesting 201. When running on time, 201 is usually getting ready to rock onto the Laggan at this time, clearly the cold resulted in some delays departing Edmonton so I was glad to get it here in good light.

La Peugeot 201 est une automobile produite par le constructeur français Peugeot entre 1929 et 1937. Première voiture française à être équipée de roues avant indépendantes, elle est également la première automobile de la marque à poser le principe de l'utilisation de la nomenclature à « 0 » central encore en vigueur aujourd’hui (les précédentes Peugeot étaient numérotées en fonction de leur ordre d'arrivée, ce qui fait qu'il y a eu des types 101 à 109, mais il ne s'agissait pas de dénomination commerciale). Peugeot a fait alors un dépôt de marques à trois chiffres avec ce zéro central. Une légende a longtemps prétendu à tort que le zéro central permettait à l'origine d'y inclure la manivelle, ce n'était pas le cas pour la 201 mais ce le sera pour quelques modèles ultérieurs.
L'appellation 201 avait été choisie car c'était le 201e projet de la marque

A clear and quiet night lingers over the valley on the NS Roanoke District. The only sounds are barking dogs and some occasional rustling in the nearby bushes. The aspect of the signal changes from red to yellow, indicating a lineup for an oncoming train. A few minutes later, the silence of the landscape is broken by the sound of a distant horn. The yellow aspect turns green just before NS train 201 clears the north end of the siding at Solitude. 201's headlights begin to paint the landscape as it rushes around the curve to meet the facing signals of Arcadia. "NS 201 clear Arcadia" is called out over the radio by the conductor. Moments later, the green falls down to a red as 201 zips into the night. The EOTD flashes past, indicating the end of the train, and the silence is soon restored for the sleeping folks of Arcadia, Virginia.
