Faedo de Ciñera is a small forest formed mainly by beech trees located between the towns of Villar del Puerto (Vegacervera) and Ciñera de Gordón, municipality of La Pola de Gordón, in the province of León. It is included within the Alto Bernesga Biosphere Reserve, and has been recognized as the Best Forest in Spain in 20081 by the Ministry of the Environment and the entity Bosques Sin Fronteras, for its care and preservation of nature in its entirety and in especially due to the involvement of the residents themselves in its conservation.
