A female Mallard makes her way in for a landing on the Upper Thames river here in London Ontario. It was a bright windy day and the sunlight did a great job in bringing out the detail in the feather pattern on this fine looking fowl. Hope you enjoy!

C'est un petit papillon brun beige au corps trapu. Le Moro-sphinx possède une très longue trompe pour butiner les fleurs, souvent violettes, bleues ou blanches, en vol stationnaire à la manière des oiseaux-mouches. Il butine généralement le nectar des fleurs que les autres insectes ne peuvent atteindre. Il affectionne les sauges, les lavandes.

This is symbolized in the middle panel with Mother Russia and small George. The left side of the monument is the Georgian side and the right side the Russian one with respective symbols from history.

Less than 10 years later, the friendship was gone.
