This Boer War stereograph of Gordon signalers on a peak is captioned:
"Gordon Signalers at Euslin [sic - was actually "Enslin"] receiving the word "Relieved" by heliograph from Kimberley (Feb. 20), S. Africa"
with further annotations:
"Copyright 1900 by Underwood & Underwood"

There are actually three heliographs visible in this photo:
1) The 10" heliograph in front, at right.
2) An unattended 5" heliograph at center rear (the mirror is behind the nose of the seated signaller.
3) A 5" heliograph being operated by the rearmost signaller. Its mirror is partly visible above the back of the neck of the seated signaller.
