This drive system didn't catch on, but the use of a two-piece part of the suspension with a compression spring certainly did.

Panel 3 in my 4-panel final project for Digital Imaging.
Starring: Theresa Lehman as Toads, Sheri Taber as the Sun, David King as a Magikoopa, Kevin Dibble as the Bushes, Emily DelGiorno as the Clouds, and me, Eddy Fettig, as Mario.
I wanted to tell an unconventional Mario Story with only images, so unless you ask, I'm not going to explain any of it -- hopefully many people (gamers, at least) will find the humor in it and get the story, though.
If anything, I wanted it to be detailed and visually interesting.
Practically everything in these images from the shapes to the shading was made by hand & mouse in Photoshop (aside from the photographic elements, of course, which were also altered/shaded).
The "Gentle People Tour" was a road trip across Australia undertaken by the legendary Berlin-based graffiti collective "1UP Crew" between 2019 to 2021.
Furthermore the tour was a collaboration with several notable figures in the graffiti world, including photographer Martha Cooper, filmmaker Selina Miles, and photographer OLF and the crew also hosted a one-night show at Revolver Upstairs featuring artwork, movie screenings, and a live Q&A.
Finally, during the road trip the "1UP" Crew" visited the five (5) main Australian cities Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney.
