Today is my last day. I can't believe I made it the whole year! And I only missed three days.
This is the cake that Emily and I decorated for Terry's birthday. She baked the cake and put the chocolate glaze on it last night. My contribution was staying up until almost 3am last night making the stencils to use for the powdered sugar.
It actually worked out better than I thought it would, although there are a couple things I'd work on for the next attempt. Still, pretty sweet design, right?
I've shared the templates I made and written some very rough instructions in this photoset.
These are pictures from Friday the 9th, 2016 of some of the set up and behind the scenes work for The Rocky Mountain Pinball Showdown & Game Exposition!

“Day After Day: Good morning, Nutella...
What healthy, lively children can run, jump, climb, and do gymnastics in a day... but also think, learn, and grasp new things is truly astonishing.
Nutrition-conscious mothers therefore offer their children a fundamentally healthy Nutella breakfast every day. The generous jar is enough for a long row of delicious Nutella sandwiches.
Nutella, with its richness in vital proteins from milk and hazelnuts ripened in the southern sun, provides energy and stamina for the entire day. For today. For tomorrow. For the day after tomorrow...
The fact that Nutella, with its delicate hazelnut flavor, is especially delicious for children only makes life easier for the caring mother. So, starting today: "Good morning, Nutella..."”
A sign I made out of 10mm LEDs. What appears to be gray in the picture is bright white. I couldn't get my camera to capture the colors my eyes see.

Panel 1 in my 4-panel final project for Digital Imaging.
Starring: Theresa Lehman as Toads, Sheri Taber as the Sun, David King as a Magikoopa, Kevin Dibble as the Bushes, Emily DelGiorno as the Clouds, and me, Eddy Fettig, as Mario.
I wanted to tell an unconventional Mario Story with only images, so unless you ask, I'm not going to explain any of it -- hopefully many people (gamers, at least) will find the humor in it and get the story, though.
If anything, I wanted it to be detailed and visually interesting.
Practically everything in these images from the shapes to the shading was made by hand & mouse in Photoshop (aside from the photographic elements, of course, which were also altered/shaded).
