I've been a Flickr member for almost 18 years, and hope to continue, but I'm going on hiatus for a while.

Be of sound mind.

Love covers a multitude of sins.

Be hospitable.

Thanks for looking!

I found this in my Flickr shots to upload, and decided that I should upload it. I know that the proper role of government and political leaders is an important topic in the US, and probably elsewhere, at present. There are other commands in the Bible that are relevant, such as those commanding hospitality to people from other countries.

I know -- it's not Easter. Bur Christ rose for all days and times.

"He committted no sin, and no deceit was found in him.

When they hurled insults at him, he did not strike back. When he suffered he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sin, and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed."

"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewellery or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight."

At his table in his small home in Tomper, Pastor Charles Calvin prayerfully continues his Bible study.

"Our Lord Himself, in teaching us how to pray, says, "Give us this day our daily bread." * Daily. We need the Lord Jesus each and every day. He is our source of sustenance both physical and spiritual. In fact, when tempted by the enemy,"

"But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’”"**

"We cannot live, not true life, not full spiritual life, on physical bread alone. As followers of Christ, born again to spiritual life, that new life must be nourished as well. By the perfect, infallible word of God.

"Our Lord says we shall LIVE by that holy word. Not simply hear it, not simply understanding, but live by it. It will inform, define, and guide our daily life. Surely then, we will hunger for the spiritual bread even more than the physical. Don't we read in Peter's first epistle,"

"like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation"***

"Yes, thank you Lord, your word is daily bread indeed!"

From this valley they say you are going.

We will miss your bright eyes and sweet smile,

For they say you are taking the sunshine

That has brightened our pathway a while.

So come sit by my side if you love me.

Do not hasten to bid me adieu.

Just remember the Red River Valley,

And the cowboy that has loved you so true.

I guess that bunnies are a symbol of Easter because they being prolific pro creators, are an ancient symbol of fertility and new life ..New birth..

Of course the real reason we celebrate Easter is that Jesus died for our sins and rose again..

1Peter 1:3

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

The most important new birth of all!

Have a Blessed Easter everyone !

When worries begin to gnaw at our mind, let's surrender them to the Lord and not take them back again. --1Peter 5:7

Jesus love and died for us that we may have life to the full .

Many times we carry burdens that could simply be lifted from off our

shoulders , if we would only give it to the Lord.

Many times we try to solve our problems on our own and end up in a

worse state than it was . It's good to have faith in Jesus ,believe

in him and say "Lord, I give this problem to you. You are the only One

who can solve this. You are the only One who can help and deliver me ."

In faith believing and trusting God to the full , He will do it for you .

As said in 1Peter 5:7 "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

Jesus said "And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto

you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Hitherto

have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be

full." John 16:23-24

There is always great power in Jesus name ,that in His name we have victory .

In Jesus name you can bind and cast away demons / dark spiritual entities

and never be afraid . There's no fear in Christ .

"And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me" ~Psalm 50 :15

If you received a blessing great or small let it be known to people that they will know the God that you serve is a living God eternal and is true to His words .Glorify God in every blessings you received .Share the light ,not hide it due to personal reasons of being awkward or some embarrassment to admit your allegiance to God ,when your relationships and friendships are compromised ; when people make fun of you or friends might reject you .

I'd rather put my allegiance to the faithful God than of man .

Give the glory back to God what he did for you

"O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known

his deeds among the people."

Psalm 105:1

God is a faithful and true to His words.

SIGNS OF THE TIMES

" For a nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places." ~ Matthew 24:7

Although this can be argued as happening all through the centuries /millenia in the past ,but take a look at the frequency and intensity of these calamities and wars happening most in the same time frame we are living in,whilst the mainstream media seemed to avoid touching the vital news that we should know .It's not getting any better and never will be until the time of proper peace with Christ . Everything happening fit's in the prophetic timeline and characteristics of the age we are living in .You believe this or not ,it would not change the series of prophetic events to happen .

It's like birth pangs ,we haven't seen the full scale gravity of things yet but God is giving enough time of

warning signs so when the final countdown comes , many are prepared and not caught by surprise .

Or God would say , "I've told you -------"

But you are a chosen people...a people belonging to God, and that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. - 1Peter 2:9

Relax, take it easy and enjoy the seen as Tom's did..He love to post infront of the camera, no worries; just like God commanded us on (1Peter 5:7) to casting all our anxiety onto Him, for He cares for you/us.

The word "Joy" has been on my mind and lips lately. I came across a great Bible verse about Joy in 1Peter 1:8 then I woke up with the song Joy Unspeakable Joy by Chris Tomlin. Then our local Christian radio station has a campaign going called "I choose Joy."

Dear friends, I warn you as “temporary residents and foreigners” to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against your very souls. Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God when he judges the world.

[1 Peter 2:11-12 NLT]

5 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

1. Like it or not, we are ALL sinners: As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous—not even one. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God. All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.” (Romans 3:10-12 NLT)

2. The punishment for sin is death: When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. (Romans 5:12 NLT)

3. Jesus is our only hope: But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8 NLT) For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23 NLT)

4. SALVATION is by GRACE through FAITH in JESUS: God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:8-10 NLT)

5. Accept Jesus and receive eternal life: If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9 NLT) But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12 NLT) And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. (1 John 5:11-12 NLT)

Read the Bible for yourself. Allow the Lord to speak to you through his Word. YOUR ETERNITY IS AT STAKE!

Do not use my images without asking first, please and thank you!

Escape from your

dreams,

hopes,

failures,

problems.

Give them up to the Lord.

HEBREW WORD STUDY – AN ALTAR

by Chaim Bentorah | Apr 5, 2019 | Devotionals | 4 comments

HEBREW WORD STUDY – AN ALTAR – ZABACH – מזבח Mem Zayin Beth Cheth

Leviticus 6:2,5-6: “Command Aaron and his sons, saying, This [is] the law of the burnt offering: It [is] the burnt offering, because of the burning upon the altar all night unto the morning, and the fire of the altar shall be burning in it. (5) And the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat of the peace offering. (6) The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.

When we think of an altar we think the of the stairs leading up to the throne, ah, I mean the place where the preacher and his chosen sit on the platform. Some think of it as the pulpit. Some churches have a little table just below the pulpit where they put the communion trays and/or an open Bible and this is considered an altar but that is wrong as it is really just a communion table.

Webster defines an altar as an elevated place or structure, as a platform where religious rites are performed. So in your church, it may just be those stairs leading to the platform. Actually, our English word altar comes from the Latin word altare which reflects the Hebrew for burnt offerings. The word in Hebrew for altar is mizabach from the root word zabach which comes from an old Akkadian word meaning a place of slaughter. You know, that is not a bad idea for the preacher to explain the Hebrew understanding of an altar, it is the place of slaughter which your old life is put to death in exchange for a new life in Jesus.

Nonetheless, the mizabach was nothing more than a big furnace, it is was the largest piece of furnishings in the tabernacle where the blood sacrifices were made. It was a big square box made of bronze from which God sent a flame from heaven and lit the box with a fire. From that day forward until the temple was destroyed in 607 BC by the Babylonians the priest were commanded to put wood in the fire every morning to keep the fire going and make sure it never went out. That was quite a chore in the desert to find wood to keep that fire going. A fulltime job for certain priests.

I read something very interesting in the Talmud in Eruvin 63a; “Although a fire descended from heaven upon the altar, it is a mitzvah (good praiseworthy deed) to add it to keep the humanly fire producing.” I believe what the Aramaic is trying to say here is that this fire sent from God is meant to be a picture of the fire of the love of God that burns within every soul and that it is the task of the priest to feed and preserve that fire in the lives of the people. We learn in 1Peter 2:9: “But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people…” The foundation of the Protestant Reformation rests on the priesthood of the believer. Hence, according to the Talmud, Leviticus 6:5-6 is telling us that it is our responsibility to keep that fire of the love of God burning in each other. We are to feed that fire of God’s love in each other. If that fire goes out in any believer it is our fault, we have failed in our role as the priesthood of the believer.

But say, look what else we learn. When the temple was built the location of this altar where the sacrifices were to be made was very exactly defined and was never to be changed. This location was the exact location of the threshing floor of Arvanah which was on the land purchased by David to establish Jerusalem. It was the place where Abraham built his mizabach furnance or altar where he bound Isaac just before he almost made him a burnt offering. It is the place where Noah built his mizabach after the flood and where Cain and Able offered their sacrifices and Jewish tradition teaches that it is that same location where God took the dirt or soil to create man. The very location of the ground and dust from which God created man, from the man that our Redeemer, Jesus, descended is the same location that the Jews offered their sacrifices for the atonement of the sins of the people.

One last thing, the word burnt offering is ha’olah which also means a stairway or ladder. It is the sacrificial offering that was a stairway to heaven. Jesus is our sacrificial lamb who is our stairway to heaven. Think of that next your preacher invites you to forward to the altar and you kneel at the stairs leading to the platform or mizabach – altar.

This is my statement I thought of this morning. It is anti-bulimia.

I have never had an eating disorder, but I am sure some people have thought so randomly throughout my life because I'm pretty skinny naturally (fast metabolism...). But it saddens me when I think of those who do struggle with an eating disorder. I know how it is to struggle with feeling too skinny, I get self-conscious about it a lot (something I'm trying to overcome)...and these girls are struggling with feeling too fat even when they are not--even to the point of destroying themselves.

"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment [or, may I add, the approval or praise from other people]...instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight." (1 Peter 3:3,4)

Beauty is in the eye of its beholder, and there will be people out there who just will not see beauty in someone. No one out there is considered beautiful by everyone. Find someone who most guys think is "hott," you will also find other guys who think she is not.

And does it really matter what other people think of you? You honestly cannot please everyone. Start with those whose opinions of you truly matter: yourself, and God. You must believe you are beautiful, because God does. He created you just the way you are and he calls you his beautiful creation. He does not see your blemishes or love handles or unibrow...actually I take that back. He does see your blemishes or love handles or unibrow and SMILES because no matter what you are His beautiful son or daughter and He loves you all the same! now how amazing is that?

And because God--the one who created you, the one who would be able to see every single little fault that others may not be able to see--believes you are beautiful...you should to. Everyone has their own quirks about them, you shouldn't crush them because it's different from the current fad...embrace them, because being unique and yourself amongst the many people just trying to be like everyone else is much more beautiful.

That is something I believe everyone struggles with at some point, eating disorder or not.

..that God deigns to tend and care for us...that He set in motion by Word and breath all that is, all that was, and all that will ever be..

..that although we all fall pathetically short of a righteous and holy standard shown us by the Law, God made us a way to be reconciled to Him by grace and faith alone, through His Son Jesus, alone.

I have much to thankful for in this world, and I know that any and all of it can be taken away in the blink of an eye..indeed the world can have it back. Every ounce of my hope, joy, and peace rest in another realm, in Him. Everything else is just added mercy.

Being known and forgiven by God, believing in this Good News...this is true liberation, and for what I am most thankful for.

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."

I happened to look out the window and noticed this striking formation of the moon along with Venus and Jupiter. I hadn't a clue what it was all about but it sure looked neat so I grabbed my camera and took a few shots. Then my Dad called to inquire if I'd seen it, and said that such an alignment would not again be visible until 2052..hmm, better go take a few more shots I thought, and then go Google.. I'd forgotten my best camera settings for these kinds of images and fumbled around in the icy cold dark with different settings as the trio was quickly sinking. These don't do the scene justice, but there you go.

"...the three tenors of the night sky will reunite, an event that may not be seen again for another 40 years." "Two brilliant planets line up to the lower right of the crescent Moon this evening. The brighter of the two, and the closest to the Moon, is Venus. Jupiter, the largest planet in the solar system, is a little to the right of Venus."

/ps - Thanksgiving was really wonderful, as I hope was yours!

Mosaic Work in progress, recycled scrap stained glass,Heart millifiori, gold mirror tile in lighthouse window, recycled thrift Corelle plate for border and ship and white part of lighthouse, MDF substrate. Needs grout and painted MDF edges.

The ship seemed too big, I wanted the lighthouse in the background but it looks like the ship is crashed on the rocks and that the lighthouse is in the foreground. Oh, well, maybe the grout will help some. Large oval plaque.

This has meaning to me, so the way it is won't matter as it is not one for sale. The ship stands for a relationSHIP of the heart. Many hearts or much family love surround the ship including one above the lighthouse. The relationship has been stormy and on the rocks but it has reached the lighthouse or the source of the light. New pink and gold and orange skies fill the horizon which show that the storm has passed and the ship can now be repaired. The red and white stripes on the lighthouse and on the border stand for the stripes or beating of Jesus by whose stripes we are healed. He is the Lighthouse of Love.

Isaiah 53:5

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

1Peter 2:24

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

13 No one has greater love [no one has shown stronger affection] than to lay down (give up) his own life for his friends.

John 15

1I AM the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser.

2Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit.

3You are cleansed and pruned already, because of the word which I have given you [the teachings I have discussed with you].

4Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me.

5I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.

6If a person does not dwell in Me, he is thrown out like a [broken-off] branch, and withers; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and they are burned.

7If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.

8When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine.

9I have loved you, [just] as the Father has loved Me; abide in My love [[a]continue in His love with Me].

10If you keep My commandments [if you continue to obey My instructions], you will abide in My love and live on in it, just as I have obeyed My Father's commandments and live on in His love.

11I have told you these things, that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy and gladness may be of full measure and complete and overflowing.

12This is My commandment: that you love one another [just] as I have loved you.

13No one has greater love [no one has shown stronger affection] than to lay down (give up) his own life for his friends.

14You are My friends if you keep on doing the things which I command you to do.

15I do not call you servants (slaves) any longer, for the servant does not know what his master is doing (working out). But I have called you My friends, because I have made known to you everything that I have heard from My Father. [I have revealed to you everything that I have learned from Him.]

16You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as [b]presenting all that I AM], He may give it to you.

17This is what I command you: that you love one another.

18If the world hates you, know that it hated Me before it hated you.

19If you belonged to the world, the world would treat you with affection and would love you as its own. But because you are not of the world [no longer one with it], but I have chosen (selected) you out of the world, the world hates (detests) you.

20Remember that I told you, A servant is not greater than his master [is not superior to him]. If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word and obeyed My teachings, they will also keep and obey yours.

21But they will do all this to you [inflict all this suffering on you] because of [your bearing] My name and on My account, for they do not know or understand the One Who sent Me.

22If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin [would be blameless]; but now they have no excuse for their sin.

23Whoever hates Me also hates My Father.

24If I had not done (accomplished) among them the works which no one else ever did, they would not be guilty of sin. But [the fact is] now they have both seen [these works] and have hated both Me and My Father.

25But [this is so] that the word written in their Law might be fulfilled, They hated Me without a cause.(A)

26But when the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) comes, Whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth Who comes (proceeds) from the Father, He [Himself] will testify regarding Me.

27But you also will testify and be My witnesses, because you have been with Me from the beginning.

John 15 (from wikipedia)

John 15 is the fifteenth chapter in the Gospel of John in the New Testament section of the Christian Bible. It is part of what New Testament scholars have called the 'farewell discourses' of Jesus. It has historically been a source of Christian teaching, Christological debate and reflection, and its images (particularly of Jesus as the vine) have been influential in Christian art and iconography. The chapter implies one of the highest and most developed Christologies to be found in the New Testament.

Analysis

The chapter presents Jesus speaking in the first person. Although ostensibly addressing his disciples, most scholars conclude the chapter is written with events concerning the later church in mind. Jesus is presented as explaining the relationship between himself and his followers - seeking to model this relationship on his own relationship with his Father.

The chapter introduces the extended metaphor of Christ as the true vine. God is the vine tender. His disciples are said to be branches - which must 'abide' in him if they are to 'bear fruit'. The disciples are warned that barren branches are pruned by the vinedresser.

The chapter proceeds by comparing the close relationship of Jesus and his disciples ('abiding') to that of himself and his Father. Disciples are reminded of the love of the Father and the Son - the love of the Son for the disciples, and then indicted to 'love one another' in the same manner. Verse 13 speaks of the 'greater love' as being the willingness to 'lay down' life for friends. This text, which primarily refers to Jesus’ impending death, has since been widely used to affirm the sacrifice of martyrs and soldiers in war, and is thus often seen on war memorials and graves.

The chapter concludes by warning disciples to expect persecution and promises the gift of the parakletos (paraclete or Holy Spirit). The reference to the Spirit in verse 26, speaks of it as sent by the Son from the Father. This verse has been particularly influential in debates concerning the nature of the Trinity and in the filioque disputes between Eastern and Western Christianity.

The Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne, Australia is typical of thousands of war memorials in using the words of John 15:13 'no greater love' in its tribute to the fallen.

“All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass.

The grass withers, And its flower falls away, But the word of the Lord endures forever.”

Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.

1 Peter 1:3

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead

God called me out of my darkness and into His wonderful Light…

“O chosen people, proclaim the mighty works of HIM who called you out of darkness into HIS wonderful Light.” 1 Peter 2:9

“…You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may announce the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.

“Once you were no people

but now you are God’s people;

you had not received mercy

but now you have received mercy.

“Beloved, I urge you as aliens and sojourners to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against the soul. Maintain good conduct among the Gentiles, so that if they speak of you as evildoers, they may observe your good works and glorify God on the day of visitation.” 1 Peter 2:9-12

Tell me about the darkness He has called you out of...

MEDITATION

“...We do good things because of the goodness that is within us. That goodness is the presence of the Holy Spirit which empowers us to reach out and bring our brothers and sisters out of the darkness and into the Light. Much of the world today is in darkness because people have not experienced being personally loved by Christ. You are called to bring that Light to them. I pray that you will start within your own family, your priestly family.”

Angel Number 15 – Meaning and Symbolism. The number fifteen in Angel numerology marks the manifestation of a harmonious life, a synthesis of matter and spirit. Angel number 15 refers to the material and spiritual, steady flow of energy, the source of power and cooperation. The number 15 in the Bible pictures rest, which comes after deliverance, represented by fourteen. The 15th day of the first Hebrew month (Nisan) is the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, a day of rest for the children of Israel (and for Christians). The 15th day of the 7th Hebrew month begins the Feast of Tabernacles, also a day of rest.

God told Abraham in a vision, just as the sun was setting to begin Nisan 15 on the Hebrew calendar, that his descendants would end up as slaves in a foreign country (Egypt). They would, however, eventually be set free (Genesis 15:12 - 16).

Many years later in Egypt, God miraculously delivered Israel's firstborn from the death angel just as Passover began after sunset (Nisan 14). Then, 24 hours later (just as the sun was setting to begin Nisan 15), the children of Israel began to leave Egypt (Exodus 12:40 - 41). This night is referred to as the 'night to be much observed' (Exodus 12:40 - 42, Deuteronomy 16:1). God's prophecy of freedom, given to Abraham on Nisan 15, was fulfilled years later on the exact same day.King Hezekiah, who was sick and dying, prayed that God would remember his works and how he served him with his whole heart. God heard his prayer and told the king, through the prophet Isaiah, that he would be healed and granted an additional number of years of live (15 - see 2Kings 20:1 - 6).

The name Pharaoh gave Joseph was Zaphnathpaaneah, a fifteen letter name.

The book of 1Peter contains material from fifteen Old Testament books.

Two of the top ten most frequently mentioned women in the word of God, Abigail and Miriam, are mentioned 15 times.

Here are examples of situational meanings of the number 15 derived from its basic meaning/essence:

With a 15 birth date number (the life path number of a numerology chart), it means the events and circumstances of the person's life tends to relate to home, health, harmony, nurturing, and beliefs.

With a 15 name number (the destiny number of a numerology chart), it means the person is likely to have a personal vibrational essence related to nurturing. They are likely to have specific beliefs about life and pursue the ideal represented by those beliefs.

For more examples of how number meaning is derived from the number's essence, see the article Numerology Number Meanings.

More Numerology Number 15 Meanings

The family and harmony number 15 has other meanings. All meanings of the number 15 are subordinate to the family and harmonious home vibration.

The number 15 creates its own rules to accomplish harmony. It's likely to try anything that seems reasonable at least once in order to achieve harmony at home or to further its ideals.

A family or someone to care for or nurture generally is necessary for 15 to feel life is complete. If all is according to 15's ideal, then all is pleasant.

The number 15 feels responsible for the people it perceives are in its charge. It also feels a responsibility to propagate it's view of how things should be, seeing resistance to accepting its idealism as a challenge to change its approach and try again.

The Basic or Core Essence of 15

The basic/core essence or meaning of the number 15 is revealed by reducing the multi-digit number 15 to a single digit:

1+5 = 6

Thus, one learns the basic essence of the number 15 is similar to the number 6. The number 15 also contains the essence of its individual digits, 1 and 5.

See these articles for descriptions of the individual numbers:

The Numerology Number 6 Essence

The Numerology Number 1 Essence

The Numerology Number 5 Essence

The intrinsic meaning of the number 15 is an amalgamation of the intrinsic meaning of (a) the digit the number 15 reduces to, the number 6, and (b) each of the single digits the number 15 is composed of, the numbers 1 and 5.

The relative amount each contributes to the whole could be represented by this graph:

615

The 15 essence includes health, healing, and domestic activity. Love, beauty, and comfort are important, but the family is most important of all.

15's energy contains a maternalism that extends beyond the immediate family to neighbors and visitors at the home 15 has created for its family. It's a caretaker.

The number has a sense of adventure and a versatile wit. And there's a determination to express all of ones existence.

The number 15's priorities are family harmony and health. There is an urge for everything to be ideal, the ideal 15 has evolved as its own. There is responsibility, love, self-sacrifice, protection of family members, sympathy, and compassion.

That's 15.

1 Peter 3:3-4

"Do not let your adornment be merely outward--arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel--rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God."

I found this sticker on a trashcan on Saturday when I was done painting, and I think it is a beautiful reminder for people whom think less of themselves.

"Be alert!"

Judy Royal Glenn Photography

Wildlife has to be alert and always listening. Danger could be around the corner.

The deer knew I was there, but in a way, he trusted my presence. He was used to people feeding him corn.

Are you alert? Our enemy, Satan, is luring around seeking to devour us.

“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8

Goal: series graphic

Audience: church congregation

Direction: The copy text was given. I tried to evoke Peter's "fiery trials" imagery in a modern context.

Project: sermon series for 1 Peter

Other important info: Work in progress. I have a few weeks before it gets used. I would love feedback (Is "Living Christian..." grammatically correct?)

1Peter 2:9

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light: KJV

Photo of butterfly in flight which I edited in Picasa, Picnik, and Big Huge Labs poster maker. I like how the light comes thru the butterfly and how the darkness is being left behind. Like a Christian who is born again and is being renewed, changed, drawn to the light of the truth of God's word. Until total transformation has come to pass and darkness and sin spots have become light and righteousness.
