Fluvial sand from the Holocene of South Korea. (scale bar 1 millimeter; microphotograph by Sara Beth Kopczynski)
This moderately well-sorted river sediment sample is dominated by quartzose and lithic sand grains. Muscovite mica and biotite mica grains are present, as are black, lustrous sand grains of what appear to be coal (naturally occurring or derived from nearby coal mining districts?). All grains are angular to subangular in shape. Grain sizes range from fine to very coarse sand.
In the photo, the quartz grains are clear to light gray to white.
Locality: western side of the Yongji River (Yongchi River), immediately south of railroad bridge, <1 kilometer north of Dongjeom railway station, ~15 kilometers south-southeast of the town of Taebek, just north of the Gangwon Province-North Gyeongsang Province boundary, far-southeastern Gangwon Province, eastern South Korea (37° 05' 23.46" North latitude, 129° 02' 39.25" East longitude)

They date it as 1967, even though the grafitti gives a 1968 date, but probably added later. We can see that the poster was there before the grafitti, because it is overwritten by it with a couple of strokes.

I just noticed that my stencil is sprayed here, too.
The writing in an arc, to the right of the poster says,
“ BULLETS SHOT IN AIR COME DOWN SOMEWHERE “.
I made that stencil because the Police were shooting up toward the rooftops on one occasion.
I was never happy with the phrasing, because it should say, bullets shot in the air come down somewhere, but “the” had to be taken out to make it work.
( i remember that some famous songwriter was never happy with the necessity to use the word, “devine”, in one of his song lyrics. haha. )

Jimi Hendrix lived int the City around 1967 and played in the Panhandle.
Chanter, Mark, missed him by ten minutes when he was a teenager.
I never heard about it at all. I started in the Haight and joined the Diggers in 1967, but it must have been after that.

Thought i'd give it an attempt. Expect lots with my nice blue wall
This is a composite image, obviously. i hadn't planed on making the off color sections but i didnt like how i framed the shot of my head so i took one of my shoulders. I also originally made the thought bubbles for a shoot of matthew and i, but we haven't done that yet.
oh and hopefully tomorrow i'll have some super hott pictures of my friends molly and crystal. And i'm not sure why im writing so much on this.
Santa Clara Fire Department responded three alarms to a house fire on Arcadia Ave in December 2010.
The house was well involved upon arrival and firefighters had to first rescue the occupants, who were trapped in the inferno. There was a considerable amount of flamables piled in the house which fueled the fire. While the fire is under control it is expected to burn through the night. The Incident Commander has determined it is not safe to enter the premises until daylight, when an attempt will be made to pull out some of the materials inside the house and fully extinguish the blaze.
Medic 1 is built on a Freightliner chassis.

My model of a Focke Wulf Ta 152H-1/R11 of Ofw. Josef Keil of the Stabstaffel, JG301 'Wild Sau' based at Giebelstaft, Wurzburg, April 1945 where the Ta 152H-0's and H-1's flew all-weather protection for the Me 262 jets of KG(J)54. The Rustsatz 11 field conversion set consisted of all weather equipment. Keil was the sole Ta 152 ace having scored 5 victories in the aircraft. The Ta-152 was a development of the Fw-190D and it is thought the H was the only model to enter production, although it is possible a handful of 152C-0 pre-production low/medium altitude fighters may have been flown against the Russians in the closing days of the war. The H model was a high altitude interceptor with very high aspect ratio wings. Ironically, the H-0's and H-1's that saw service were used for low level protection of Me 262 jets taking off and landing at their base. Despite their high altitude wings, they proved very manoevrable at low altitude and a formidable fighter. The H model was the fastest production aircraft to see full operational service in WWII at 472 mph. The camouflage scheme is a rather unusual RLM75/76/81/83 scheme: undersurfaces RLM76 Light Grey Blue; upper fuselage RLM81 Brown Violet and RLM83 Dark Green; upper wing RLM75 Grey Violet and RLM83 Dark Green.
Here's an interesting and surprisingly attractive look--it combines this deep pink pullover top (a thrift shop find) with the black pencil skirt from Fashion Bug...and trendy purple tights! I liked the look so much I went out today and bought some more colored tights. Other accessories are pink bow, black-and-white jewelry, and black two-tone pumps.
