Johnny's 1st birthday party was a success! He had such a wonderful time that he decided against eating much dinner and instead zoomed around the room all night afterward.
The 'smash cake' idea didn't fly. He poked it a couple of times but looked at us all as if to say "Really? You want me to ruin this thing? It's so nice though." :)
One of my favourite parts of decorating was making the triangle garland. I may put a quick tutorial up on www.commatose.ca soon. It was very easy after all the cutting was done.
James is helping to set up for a surprise birthday party.
This guy just got a bath after sitting in my doll box for several years. I did not even realize he was so dirty! I hope I did not rub the hair off the top of his head when washing. I did not notice that before, but maybe it was covered in dirt!

Another blast from the past with this old 3.5 inch floppy disk.
With a massive 1.44MB of data storage capacity the disk would be unable to store this photograph of itself...............................
I have decided to start a 52 weeks project. I wish with all that I have in me that I had the time to do a 365 days project but alas, college takes up so much of my time, that whenever I get some free time, it is simply a miracle.
Now this project won’t be like my past two 365s. the weekly photos might not necessarily have me in them. With my 365s I tried my hardest to be the subject in almost every photo, with a few other shots. But this time, the weekly photo may be of anything or anyone else. Some weeks I might even have some of my film work as the weekly photo. I don’t know where this project will go or how.
And I believe that over the summer, I might do another project alongside my 52 weeks, since I might have more free time than I do during the school year.
I honestly just miss having a sort of constant project I need to put my all into. I would do a 365, but I can see that making my grades suffer greatly. So 52 weeks will have to do. Some weeks, I will most likely upload more than one photo. Some weeks, I may use older photos, if I did not have time that week to take something new. I will see where this project goes.
So here’s to 52 weeks of photos! I kept promising I would become more active, and this is me forcing myself to keep my promise!
I missed you flickr :)

Day 1 of the Warrior 100K in Crawford, Texas. Photo by Paul Morse for the George W. Bush Presidential Institute.
Nice camera.
Fujicas last manual camera made in 1972 and top of their range back then.
The first mass produced camera to have LEDS for the lightmeter.
Apparently these are getting rareish now in working order.
Theres any number of 605s 705s etc on ebay but not many 801s.
Shutter speeds up to 1/2000.
Has a depth of field preview button and remains open at max aperture in the viewfinder till you take the shot.
Takes m42 lenses so I'll be testing it out with a super tak 50mm f1.4 as well as the original lens.
Any m42 lens with the small pin sticking out the back seems to work.
