Although three lines run to London from Dartford, nearly all freight uses the route via Sidcup which meets the mainline at Hither Green and then provides access to the South London Line via Lewisham. This is known as the Dartford Loop line.
A working that still operates in 2021 is pictured here. Cliffe, Angerstein Wharf and Dagenham all forward sea dredged aggregates by rail. Here, approaching New Eltham station is 7y94, the 10:00 Purley to Cliffe empties behind 33012 on 31st March 1988.

This is the 3rd of 3 good images taken on an early morning trip to the Lake District (UK) in November 1988 and it’s one of my favourite analogue images.
The image was shot on Ilford FP4 Film with my Olympus OM10, using a tripod to maximise the aperture.
This is Derwent Water in the English Lake District.
Its the 2nd of 3 lmages I shot on a foggy morning in 1988 with my first SLR, the Olympus OM10 which I remember as a a sturdy and reliable piece of kit in the days before autofocus and digital. The image was shot on Ilford FP4. I have used adobe to enhance the highlights and shadows and generally bring the image up to date.
I had an incredible three-week trip to Antigua, Guatemala, during Christmas and New Year’s in 1988. The political situation was a bit tense, so we didn’t explore the country extensively. But we did manage to see a bit of this amazing country during a few trips. I spotted this gorgeous bungalow on a trip to Panahachel on the shores of Lake Atitlan and I had to have a picture. After all these years, I’ve never forgotten how wonderfully beautiful it was.
Under muffled clouds, 20K tons of California bound manifest has a quintet of road jacks (3x2xFRED) down on their hands and knees just below Cobre, Nevada on what was once Southern Pacific's portion of the Overland Route. There are still several miles before the worst of the grade will be achieved at Valley Pass, giving the crew plenty of time to name the sagebrush along the right of way ;)

It was produced intermittently in both the UK and later the USA since 1962. This 1988 AC Cobra, TVV 213, was seen near Bibury in Gloucestershire.

Als gebürtiger Düsseldorfer hat es mich schon sehr früh in die Ferne gezogen. Frankfurt, München, Wien, Graz und seit 1999 wohnhaft in Jennersdorf, im wunderschönen Südburgenland.
Im ausgeübten Beruf als Werbegestalter und Grafiker (1966-1992) aber auch in der Selbständigkeit (bis 2012) ist die bildende Kunst immer allgegenwärtig gewesen.
Meine Leidenschaft sind Experimente mit verschiedenen Hilfsmitteln und Materialien wie zum Beispiel:
Kurzfilme mit und ohne Kamera - Kodak-Sofortbilder ganz ohne Kamera - Negativstreifen und Dias anders gesehen - PC-Fehler zur kreativen Weiterverarbeitung verwenden - Digitalfotografie und ihre Möglichkeiten mit einem Apple-Computer kombinieren und verfeinern - und bis heute noch vieles mehr entdecken...

The Avanti II is an American performance sports coupe based on the Studebaker Avanti and marketed through a succession of five different ownership arrangements between 1965 and 2006. Studebaker Cruise-In at Winks, August 26, 2006.
A batch of photos taken in May 2019, when I got a chance to revisit this incredible collection that I first photographed back in 2013. Inevitably most of the cars have deteriorated and become more embedded into the greenery, but some stuff had been added since my first visit, and I photographed some that I'd overlooked back then, plus I was shown a whole new area that I'd only previously seen in photos.
