This is the 3rd of 3 good images taken on an early morning trip to the Lake District (UK) in November 1988 and it’s one of my favourite analogue images.
The image was shot on Ilford FP4 Film with my Olympus OM10, using a tripod to maximise the aperture.
This is Derwent Water in the English Lake District.
Its the 2nd of 3 lmages I shot on a foggy morning in 1988 with my first SLR, the Olympus OM10 which I remember as a a sturdy and reliable piece of kit in the days before autofocus and digital. The image was shot on Ilford FP4. I have used adobe to enhance the highlights and shadows and generally bring the image up to date.

The AC Cobra, sold in the United States as the Shelby Cobra and AC Shelby Cobra, is a sports car manufactured by British company AC Cars, with a Ford V8 engine. It was produced intermittently in both the UK and later the USA since 1962. This 1988 AC Cobra, TVV 213, was seen near Bibury in Gloucestershire.

It was produced intermittently in both the UK and later the USA since 1962. This 1988 AC Cobra, TVV 213, was seen in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire.
75,000 miles at it's 2024 MOT, 65,000 in 2023, and 62,000 in 2006, with only a few hundred covered in each intervening year.

1988 Citroen 2CV 600cc E734JLK during a rally to the Classic Motor Hub in the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire on 31st August 2024.
A lovely original example retaining it's Eastern BMW of Edinburgh number plate - showing it's age in places but clearly a cherished car. I was fortunate enough to spot it twice in the same day, in Blackpool.
1988 BMW 325i auto convertible.
In present ownership since July 1990.
Previously registered E803 EAP.
Seen in deepest SW London, i spotted this years ago in another area, amazed to see its survived, still taxed and MOT'd well into 2025.

The Avanti II is an American performance sports coupe based on the Studebaker Avanti and marketed through a succession of five different ownership arrangements between 1965 and 2006. Studebaker Cruise-In at Winks, August 26, 2006.
A batch of photos taken in May 2019, when I got a chance to revisit this incredible collection that I first photographed back in 2013. Inevitably most of the cars have deteriorated and become more embedded into the greenery, but some stuff had been added since my first visit, and I photographed some that I'd overlooked back then, plus I was shown a whole new area that I'd only previously seen in photos. More to follow.
