I had an incredible three-week trip to Antigua, Guatemala, during Christmas and New Year’s in 1988. The political situation was a bit tense, so we didn’t explore the country extensively. But we did manage to see a bit of this amazing country during a few trips. I spotted this gorgeous bungalow on a trip to Panahachel on the shores of Lake Atitlan and I had to have a picture. After all these years, I’ve never forgotten how wonderfully beautiful it was.
With less than 1 hour to go before sunset, West Coast driver Mick Kelly on 60103 Flying Scotsman crosses the viaduct over the River Eden with the return Carlisle - Liverpool charter train. Always a bit of a dilemma where to place the engine with this type of location, but I personally chose the slightly longer smoke trail, fortunately this also helped in hiding the first of the three pullman coaches in the rake.
Incredibly my last visit to this location was in November 1988 with 8F 48151.
The AC Cobra, sold in the United States as the Shelby Cobra and AC Shelby Cobra, is a sports car manufactured by British company AC Cars, with a Ford V8 engine. It was produced intermittently in both the UK and later the USA since 1962. This 1988 AC Cobra, TVV 213, was seen near Bibury in Gloucestershire.

Train #101 is about to enter Flathead tunnel. Blowers to clear out exhaust of the seven mile bore are at the ready. A maintainer takes a break and watches the train pass.

75,000 miles at it's 2024 MOT, 65,000 in 2023, and 62,000 in 2006, with only a few hundred covered in each intervening year.
Improved version of the 500C/M.
Following the design principle of the previous models, the Victor Hasselblad AB made the V-series completely modular: Not only the lenses, but also the winding crank, the viewfinder and the film magazine are exchangeable during normal operation of the camera. With the introduction of the 500C/M, also the focussing screen became easily exchangeable. The 500C/M was also sold as the Hasselblad 500 Classic bundle that included a 80mm lens and A12 film back.
