Between 1956 and 1957, only 67 of these 2-seater Volvo Sport fiberglass-reinforced polyester cars were built. This is chassis #1, belonging to the Volvo Museum collection, here exhibited at Göteborg's Airport in May 2019.
So look what turned up on our street this morning!!
Hills District, northwestern Sydney.
It was lost!! I just happened to be near the gate, and along it purred. The owner had come from Leichhardt, an inner city suburb of Sydney, and was looking for Berowra Waters. He was clearly lost - the Hills District is a big place!!!
But anyway he was happy to let me take a photo of his gleaming red 1956 Triumph coupe!! Unfortunately the Canon was in the car, in the garage, and so I settled for a mobile phone camera image. Processed in Snapseed here at 'Cafe Saturday' in Dural, Sydney!
