El Palacio de Cibeles (denominado antes Palacio de Telecomunicaciones o Palacio de Comunicaciones) es un conjunto integrado por dos edificios de fachada blanca ubicados en uno de los centros del Madrid histórico, Ocupan alrededor de 30 000 metros cuadrados de lo que fueron los antiguos Jardines del Buen Retiro. La primera piedra del edificio se colocó en el año 1907 y se inauguraría oficialmente el 14 de marzo de 1919, comenzando su funcionamiento como moderna central de distribución de correos, telégrafos y teléfonos. Tras algunas evoluciones arquitectónicas del exterior del edificio comenzó a albergar las dependencias municipales del Ayuntamiento de Madrid a finales de 2007.

Samuel Langhorne Clemens (November 30, 1835 – April 21, 1910), known by the pen name Mark Twain, was an American writer, humorist and essayist. He was praised as the "greatest humorist the United States has produced," with William Faulkner calling him "the father of American literature." His novels include The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1876) and its sequel, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1884), with the latter often called the "Great American Novel." Twain also wrote A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court (1889) and Pudd'nhead Wilson (1894), and co-wrote The Gilded Age: A Tale of Today (1873) with Charles Dudley Warner.
Twain was raised in Hannibal, Missouri, which later provided the setting for both Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. He served an apprenticeship with a printer early in his career, and then worked as a typesetter, contributing articles to his older brother Orion Clemens' newspaper. Twain then became a riverboat pilot on the Mississippi River, which provided him the material for Life on the Mississippi (1883). Soon after, Twain headed west to join Orion in Nevada. He referred humorously to his lack of success at mining, turning to journalism for the Virginia City Territorial Enterprise.

Diesel locomotive 1907 with a train of empty Uaoos wagons heading to Entroncamento. These wagons were stored at Tejo Energia (Pego) decomissioned coal power plant and since the rail yard and the railway to the power plant are set to be dismantled, the wagons needed to be moved to another location.

This LEGO model is my attempt to create an as accurate replica as possible of the Medway 1907 locomotive, part of the Alsthom 1900 series, built at 1:45 scale.
The real locomotive served as the main reference for proportions, details, and livery. Some compromises were unavoidable due to the nature of LEGO elements, but accuracy was always the primary goal.
The model is fully motorized using LEGO Power Functions with BuWizz and features working LED lights. It is built from roughly 2,000 pieces and weighs around 1.2 kg.
This is the third version of this locomotive that I have built. Earlier versions included a test livery (EVA) and a version in the original CP orange and brown colors. Each rebuild allowed me to refine both the appearance and the mechanical layout.
This project was created purely for personal enjoyment and learning, with the intention of achieving the closest possible representation while keeping the model fully functional.
Kudos to Gerbrand (Raised) for the Nez Cassé nose design that I'm using for the 5th time

Als gebürtiger Düsseldorfer hat es mich schon sehr früh in die Ferne gezogen. Frankfurt, München, Wien, Graz und seit 1999 wohnhaft in Jennersdorf, im wunderschönen Südburgenland.
Im ausgeübten Beruf als Werbegestalter und Grafiker (1966-1992) aber auch in der Selbständigkeit (bis 2012) ist die bildende Kunst immer allgegenwärtig gewesen.
Meine Leidenschaft sind Experimente mit verschiedenen Hilfsmitteln und Materialien wie zum Beispiel:
Kurzfilme mit und ohne Kamera - Kodak-Sofortbilder ganz ohne Kamera - Negativstreifen und Dias anders gesehen - PC-Fehler zur kreativen Weiterverarbeitung verwenden - Digitalfotografie und ihre Möglichkeiten mit einem Apple-Computer kombinieren und verfeinern - und bis heute noch vieles mehr entdecken...
