I do a lot of architectural photography for builders, renovators and realtors. Sometimes I get the opportunity to photograph a home with some really dramatic elements.

Nach dem doch sehr durchwachsenem Wetter gestern wurde es heute deutlich besser. Zwar zogen immer noch einige ziemlich heftige Schauer über die Insel, am Quiraing blieb ich auf meiner Wanderung - von der ersten halben Stunde mal abgesehen - trocken und hatte bestes Wetter zum Laufen und Fotografieren...

A train I always seem to catch pretty reliably whenever I'm on the Chicago Line is NS 18A. Running from Ashland Ave Yard to Elkhart, the train usually has UP power and runs as MNPAH on the UP. An SD70ACe and a CN SD75I put the hammer down as the train roars east through Porter, gaining speed while they can as the climb up Otis Hill is only a few miles away. In the distance is CP 482, a busy junction where CSX's Porter Branch, CSX's Grand Rapids Subdivision and Amtrak's Michigan Line all converge onto the NS.

The AT-18a Saracen is a fast, highly mobile platform. It can carry a wide variety of weapons systems, either handguns or shoulder-mounted modules, and can run over 40 mph on level ground. The sealed cockpit allows operation in any environment, including short periods in a vacuum.
This design has been around the block a few times. It started off when p_o_s_t_y built a hardsuit for Lex Luthor. Rixbrix rebuilt it in LDD, then redesigned it to the LX-01 "Lexi" exo-suit. Then he redesigned it again to a stealth variant. I redesigned it again, rebuilding as I went along, with a focus on slimming up the cockpit area (it's rather bulky on Rix's version).
I wanted to make the name follow the trend so far, since Lex Luthor and Lexi both come from the name Alexander, but I liked Saracen too much. Other options included Bucephalas, Wizard, or Rattlesnake.
