Het wordt dringend tijd dat ik eens wat andere contreien opzoek, want ik heb de indruk dat lijn 96 op dit ogenblik nogal sterk de bovenhand aan het nemen is op deze stream. Tenzij jullie dat niet erg vinden natuurlijk :-)

Ook vandaag stond ik namelijk paraat en ik kan zeggen dat het om half tien in de ochtend al behoorlijk warm was.

Met het fototoestel op het hoogstatief kon ik zo eerst deze foto maken van de ER 7445 - hier net ten noorden van Hennuyères onderweg naar Tubize, Halle en uiteindelijk Vorst Rijtuigen.

Did you know: Oystercatchers, despite what they’re called, rarely feast on oysters. Their preferred menu includes mussels, cockles, and other bivalves!

Oystercatchers breed along almost all coasts in the UK and increasingly inland. During winter, most stay along the coast, supplemented by visitors from Norway. Their adaptable habitat range includes upland areas, marine and intertidal zones, farmlands, wetlands, and grasslands.

Heb een bezoek gebracht aan het Museum Helmantel, in Westeremden, provincie Groningen.

Ik maak maar zelden foto's van andermans schilderijen maar hier kon ik het niet laten. Dit zijn antieke glazen voorwerpen die Helmantel zelf in zijn bezit heeft. Soms zijn deze originele voorwerpen in de zalen te vinden en dan is het dubbel genieten.

Het schilderen van glas is sowieso al moeilijk maar hier lijkt het of je het zo van het doek af kunt plukken. Datzelfde geldt voor al zijn voorwerpen die zijn stillevens vullen, dozen, vruchten, potten, pannen en kruiken. En altijd is de compositie, kleurgebruik en lichtval perfect. Ook als fotograaf kan je hier in dat opzicht nog heel veel van leren.
