2017 was a special year to celebrate Canada in the countries capital region 150 years in the making which brought us the spectacle of the Horse Dragon and also just over the river in the Jacques Cartier park in Gatineau was MosaiCanada150 another special treat of a relatively new art form called Mosaiculture the art of creating living floral statues.
I have always wanted to rework the images I captured during the event which showcased 32 artworks representing every province, territory and indigenous peoples and also included a special gift from China, the living exhibit attracted over 1.3 million visitors during its display.
This exhibit captured here is the “Lobsterman” and represents the Maritimes in general and is the first image in this series though not the first statue which is a train and station set up to represent your journey to see Canada as you walk through this exhibit of Canada’s people, history and legends.
I took this on Aug 10, 2017 with my D750 and Nikon 16-35mm f4 Lens at 19mm 1/40 sec f/16 ISO100 processed in LR, PS +Lumenzia, Topaz , and DXO

White-Tailed Deer (male).
From between 27 to 45 inches tall and 6 to 7 feet long and weighing 150-310 pounds (male) and 90 to 211 pounds (female). Tan or reddish brown in summer and graying brown in winter. Belly, throat, nose band, eye ring and inside of ears are white. Tail brown and edged with white above often with a dark stripe down the center and white below. Black spots on side of chin. Buck's antlers can spread to 3 feet. Does do not have antlers. Fawns are spotted.
The White-Tailed Deer inhabits farmlands, brushy areas, woods, suburbs and gardens.
They range throughtout the southern half of the southern tier of Canadian provinces and through most of the United States except for the Southwest.

This is from April at Nisqually NWR. It's not a composite of two pictures (otherwise, it would be waaay better), it's just a weird thing that I was lucky to see happen.
It's hard to tell in this shot, but the bald eagle is chasing the peregrine falcon. It does give you a pretty good idea how much bigger eagles are than peregrine falcons.
While everyone was fascinated by some peacocks that came by close, I looked up and saw this interested fellow. He was looking down on the tourists beneath him. Deep in my devilish mind I hoped for a little funny accident - if you know what I mean.
