Doch neben diverse alten Loks, sind auch die recht neuen Loks der Baureihe 147 anzutreffen. Die Loks verkehren zwichen Stuttgart und Heilbronn bzw. Neckarsulm, Osterburken oder Lauda mit n-Wagen Zügen, was es sonst so nirgendwo gibt. Sonderlich lange wird es das wohl auch nicht mehr geben, weshalb man die Gelegenheit nutzen sollte. Nun aber zum Bild: Es zeigt 147 003, die mit ihrem Zug gegen 14 Uhr als RB 19125 nach Stuttgart Hbf unterwegs ist.

Here is my current print exchange wall! I've gotten a LOT of new prints since the last time I took a picture of it :P Had to bust out my fisheye lens to capture all of my wall! :) Ignore the fact that my bed is a complete mess, haha.
Last night we had a sleepover for my fraternity! We played Catch Phrase, Cat Go Eat Poo, and had a nerf gun war. Then after that we just chilled in our president's apartment and slept there for the night. I ended up staying up all night until 8am just talking with two of my pledge brothers (: It was awesome bonding with them! Then we slept from 8-10:30am, and then woke up to the smell of pancakes and bacon :P
In near perfect sun, CP 147 led by a nice BNSF 6558 with CP 7042 accelerate out of Guelph Junction westward on the Galt sub cleared to Ayr. It was nice to see some foreign power on the point for a change.

Nur kurz waren die Einsätze der 147er bei DB Regio Stuttgart im Rahmen der Übergangsverträge.
Diese erlaubten auch die Kombination zwischen ältesten Reisezugwagen und neusten Maschinen.
Nicht ganz im Hauptfokus nahm ich jedoch am 18. Juli 2018 die 147 012 mit der RB 19979 (Heilbronn Hbf - Stuttgart Hbf) bei Lauffen selbstverständlich mit.
Heute werden diese Leistungen bis Tübingen erbracht und von der SWEG nach der Abellio Pleite übernommenen Leistungen mit Hamster übernommen.

The usual scene played out this evening with me sat on the couch desperately trying to think of ideas. Nothing was happening so I ventured into the kitchen with my camera bag and just like that I remembered a piece of wood I burnt on the bbq last night and the superb textures and fissures it had.
I put the Pentax 28mm on my macro rings and started lighting the wood from various angles and in different colours. It was coming together quite nicely then I had an idea to try to recreate the embers which created the beauty in the 1st place. I took a single strand of the black fiber optic brush and fired some rich orange light through it.
I found the motion of following all the cracks with the tiny point of light very calming.
I can see a double coming up using this technique.

Primi tentativi di ripresa su una porzione della Simeis 147
Nota anche come Sh2-240 o Nebulosa Spaghetti , è un celebre resto di supernova visibile nella costellazione del Toro, al confine con l'Auriga. La nebulosa si presenta sotto forma di delicatissimi filamenti, più densi nel lato sud-orientale e molto più rarefatta in quello occidentale; sono stati creati da un'antica supernova esplosa a circa 1470 parsec (4800 anni luce) dal Sole, sul Braccio di Perseo. Se le misure di distanza sono corrette, l'oggetto avrebbe una dimensione reale di ben 160 anni luce. La supernova sarebbe esplosa circa 40.000 anni fa, lasciando verso l'angolo meridionale dell'oggetto una pulsar; la stella che ha originato quest'oggetto probabilmente era una membro dell'associazione Auriga OB1 ed era quindi legata all'ammasso apertoM36, dal quale sarebbe sfuggito prima di terminare il suo ciclo Vitale

Last night, I photographed a Bebo Norman Concert for a local radio station. His sense of humor, story telling and deep faith makes him one of my favorites. This was most likely the worst lighting situation I've experience. At one point, I went to the rear corner of the stage and saw some blue hour lighting coming through a side window.

About 20h total exposure on
Simeis 147, also known as SNR G180.0-01.7 or Sharpless 2-240, is a supernova remnant (SNR) located between "the horns" of Taurus in the Auriga-Toro border region.
Discovered in 1952 at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory by Grigory Shajn and his team, using a 25-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope equipped with an H-alpha filter, this SNR is difficult to observe visually due to its extremely low luminosity [Catalogue of HII Regions (Sharpless 1959)]. Even photographically it is a difficult subject, although less than in the past.
The rest is in fact about 3° in apparent diameter (like six full moons), at a distance of 3000 (±350) light years and an age of about 40,000 years [AstrophysJ., Suppl. Ser., Vol. 49, p. 183-206 (1982)].
Inside is the pulsar PSR J0538+2817 with an age consistent with the age of the SNR [Astrophys.J. 654: 487-493, (2006)].
