I wasn't a huge Brandi Carlile fan before tonight but she is just amazing live - what a voice! Not to mention, she was super-cool and let Women Build have a table and sell t-shirts at her concert - AND gave us a shout-out from the stage. AND signed autographs and took pics with us afterwards and said she would love to do a benefit concert for us. I *heart* Brandi Carlile.

Johan Borgman (1889-1976) was a spiritual healer, art painter and poet from the Netherlands. During his lifetime he painted over 400 paintings, mainly seascapes. What is distinctive about his work is that Borgman painted the sea without ships or people. Striking is that during his lifetime Borgman visited the sea only once. Borgman based his paintings on this single experience and postcards op the sea that he gathered. There is very little known about Borgman’s motivation to paint seascapes.
