Château Les Bernardières (or des Bernardières) was built in the 12th century, overlooking a trade route that ran along the Nizonne valley.

It was fortified on a defensive level in the 14th century, during the Hundred Years War, in order to protect itself from the English who claimed Aquitaine.

It was here, in 1377, that Bertrand du Guesclin defeated the English troops.

In the 16th century, Antoine d'Authon, lord of Bernardières, after having sold his castle,

armed a ship in 1518. First privateer, he finished in 1546 as pasha of Algiers and admiral of the Ottoman fleet under the name of Barbarossa II.

Rebuilt in the 17th century, the Château Les Bernardières gradually evolved into a Renaissance-style residence.

Today's story and sketch by me #1377, is concerning Deputy Rolf, you see holding a Flinkloo Blaster, possibly the most difficult weapons to get a permit to carry in the entire Galaxy. The Flinkloo is capable of destroying almost anything it is aimed at, which is why I became very concerned when our MCPPOTG, Mann Cave Posse Protectors Of The Galaxy, Deputy Rolf, seemed to become unstable, and began performing acupuncture on himself to relieve his migraine headaches. I'm cautiously approaching Rolf hopping to secure the Flinkloo before he hurts somebody, or destroys a nearby Moon. Hopefully I will have an update soon, until then Tata the Rod Blog.
