In het najaar houdt de CF3V haar jaarlijks stoomfestival. In september 2019 zou de 1605 een heen en terugrit voor haar rekening nemen, ook de stoomloc 29.013 was van de partij. Mijn interesse was gewekt, zeker met de voorspelde zonneschijn! Het was zo'n dikke 2 uur rijden tot ginderachter. Daarom moest ik reeds om 7u30 vertrekken aangezien de eerste rit omstreeks 10 uur zou doorkomen. Deze eerste rit werd verzorgd door de Picasso X3998. Daarna was het praktisch onmiddellijk de beurt aan de 1605. Na wat inhaalplaatjes te hebben gemaakt werd het tijd om een fotopunt voor de terugrit te gaan zoeken. Dat fotopunt konden jullie al eerder zien. Nu was het nog een uurtje wachten om de type 29.
Na doorkomst was het dan al 13h gepasseerd. Echter op de planning stond er niks meer dat mij interesseerde dus werd er gekeken voor een alternatief. Tot mijn verbazing ligt lijn 166 eigenlijk vlakbij! In vogelvlucht is Vonêche slechts 20km verwijderd van Treignes. Ik koos er dus voor om geen foto's meer te maken van de stoomlocjes met huif tegen rijrichting in maar daarentegen voor de zware cargo te gaan! Eerlijk gezegd, druk was het niet. Hoe dan ook was ik met 4 zonfoto's dik tevreden van mijn namiddagje Athus-Meuse.
Naast de vele treinen die Railtraxx naar Athus brengt rijdt Lineas ook nog veel conainershuttles richting het Zuiden van ons land. Zo kon ik er late namiddag, dan wel vroege vooravond eentje vastleggen in de bocht bij Vonêche. En Lineas had haar best gedaan want helemaal uit de Waaslandhaven hadden ze hun witste schaapje gekozen om deze conainertrein te rijden. Het scheelde maar weinig of ik had hem niet gehad want door een verslappende concentratie zag ik de de loc pas laat door de bocht komen. 3 seconden later stond ik boven op de ladder en was het klikken voor het beste. Ik was dan ook blij toen ik deze trein op foto had.

Besalú, Girona.
Besalú es un municipio de la comarca de La Garrotxa, en la provincia de Gerona, Comunidad Autónoma de Cataluña, España. La población es un centro turístico gracias a su arquitectura medieval.
El puente de Besalú es un puente románico de entrada de acceso fortificada en Besalú que atraviesa el río Fluvià. Es protegido como bien cultural de interés nacional.
Se trata de un puente de forma angular de ocho arcos (el primero queda incluido dentro del sector correspondiente al recinto amurallado) desiguales, sobre pilares, muchos de ellos fundamentados en la roca viva, con tajamares. Al final del primer tramo, entre el cuarto y el quinto arco, hay un ensanchamiento de la calzada, la «cruz gorda», y más adelante, entre el sexto y el séptimo, hay otro, llamado la «cruz pequeña ». El sector más antiguo del puente (que se data del siglo XI o XII) parece que es el más cercano a la villa de Besalú: se pueden observar hiladas irregulares de pequeños sillares, similares a los que aparecían en las construcciones más antiguas de la villa. El portal de acceso, fortificado, está sobrepuesto al primer pilar del puente. Encima del quinto pilar, se levanta la torre fortificada, de planta hexagonal con dos arcos de medio punto superpuestos, por el lado de levante, y con un arco apuntado y aspilleras en la cima, por el lado de poniente.
En uno de los sillares del pilar central del segundo tramo, hay una piedra heráldica con la fecha 1680, lo que hace pensar en una restauración de gran envergadura o en una reconstrucción casi total del puente. El mismo año hay noticias de reparaciones en el molino harinero y el molino de paños, dañados por las inundaciones. Quizás el puente también quedó afectado y necesitó una buena restauración.
Besalú is a town and municipality in the county of Garrotxa, in Girona. It is located 150 meters above sea level and covers an area of 4.81 km². The same year Headlines repair the flour mill and the mill draper, damaged by floods. Perhaps the bridge was also affected and needed a good restaurant.
Het plan was om op dit plekje de pelletstrein naar Pont-à-Mousson te vereeuwigen, maar helaas bleek deze afgeschaft te zijn. Ook de staaltrein uit Châtelet kon door het ontbreken van een traxx niet vertrekken. Gelukkig was de lege glucosetrein uit Aalst omgeleid en kon deze op dit fraaie plekje digitaal vereeuwigd worden.

De lesvrije week in februari startte voor mij met een trip naar Pisa. De dag van terugkomst sneeuwde het nog in de zuidelijke landshelft. Echter, de dag erop werd er alweer zon voorspeld in het noorden. Met deze goede vooruitzichten trok ik naar lijn 35.
Exact nog een dag later deed ik hetzelfde. Toen zou de zon ook tevoorschijn komen. Dat deed ze niet en bleef de hele morgen onder een grijs wolkendek. Slechts in het oosten en westen kwam de zon piepen. Ook de temperaturen waren niet om over naar huis te schrijven (of wel, ware het enkel maar om het te laten weten dat ik aan het doodvriezen was) Met bevroren tenen die tijdens de autorit naar Wetteren nog maar net ontdooid waren (vanuit Aarschot;-), reed ik in richting 'thuis'.
Onderweg reed ik in Wetteren nog even af om op te wachten wat komen zou. De eerste trein uit de goede richting vertaalde zich in deze 13 met een staalpendel die net kort genoeg was om in het frame te passen. Normaal gesproken zijn deze wel iets langer.
Toen kon ik toch al met 1 zonfoto huiswaarts keren. In tegenstelling tot de dag ervoor, die was zeker 12x productiever.
Tussen de wolken door passeert de 1338 op weg naar Gent. Het weer zou er niet beter op worden, dus voor mij ook tijd om richting Gent te rijden, 'En daar voorbij!' (credits to buzz lightyear)
