In Grobelno zweigt von der Hauptstrecke Celje - Maribor eine Nebenbahn ab, die sich in Stranje nochmals verzweigt. Die eine Strecke führt weiter über Rogatec nach Durmanec in Kroatien, die zweite Strecke endet in Imeno. Auf letztgenannter Strecke pendelte am 28.06.2021 zeitweise ein komplett sauberer 813/814. Als Lp 3607 nach Imeno fotografierten wir 813/814 131 zwischen Pristava und Sodna vas.

...davon ließen sich die zwei Fotografen nicht entmutigen und verbrachten ganze fünf Tage in der Nähe der Hohen Tatra bei größtenteils katastrophalem Wetter. Doch ab und zu schaffte es die Sonne dann doch sich durch die Wolkendecke zu kämpfen, wie hier in Markušovce, als 131 030/029 mit ihrem Eas-Ganzzug als NEx 49706 aus Čierna nad Tisou ihrem Ziel Ostrava entgegenfahren.

It's still all snowy outside!

Friends coming round tonight for an early Christmas dinner. I'm making mulled wine and we're having mince pies and Christmas cake too!

Dem Verlauf der Waag folgend durchquert die Bahnstrecke von Vrútky nach Žilina die Berge der Kleinen Fatra. Den engsten Teil des Tales hat der von einer 131 geführte Güterzug gerade hinter sich gelassen als er den Ort Strečno durchfährt.

Following the course of the Váh river, the line from Vrútky to Žilina crosses through the mountains of the Lesser Fatra. The freight train headed by a class 131 has just left the narrowest part of the valley as it passes the village of Strečno.

The start to my summer down in the DFW area was a blast, ended the week off with some of my first shots in the area. Here’s a westbound and eastbound TRE meeting up over the Trinity River in Fort Worth with F40PH #131 leading, and F59PH #122 shoving the eastbound on the right. This is definitely one of my favorite passenger ops I’ve seen so far, looking forward to shooting more in the area over the summer (5/19/23).
