Out and about with my Zeiss Ikon Nettar, 120 medium format camera, along with my Panasonic pocket all in one camera.

This being only the Panasonic photo as couldn't get a good composition for the square format.

This porch is the old postern of a castle that has now disappeared and was later transformed into a fortified farm. The very careful construction of the building is noteworthy, alternating brick and limestone ashlar as well as flint motifs. In the 1980s, it was planned to raze it, but the demolition costs dissuaded the owner.

I've been at it again with the Rollei Infrared 400, but in medium format this time. I can't describe how much I am in love with this film. I want to shoot it all the time. I've never felt that way about a film before lol. I also just want to live inside the magical results it delivers.

This shot was the only one I took of this magnificent oak tree in a field full of wheat so I'm very pleased. Afterwards I lay resting in the shade it provided from the hot sun and it truly felt like heaven on earth. So so peaceful. Not another living soul around...

I imagine this to be a shepherd's hut, off a main road in Ceredigion. I have photographed it several times, sometimes successfully, sometimes less so. This a little more than most. This comes from one of those rolls of film on which half the roll is double or triple exposures - clumsy and silly, sometimes pretty, but mainly a little frustrating.

To save time, I wound two 120 films one after the on one spool of my developing tank and developed them in the C-41 process. Unfortunately, the second film pushed under the first, and when I opened the tank, the films were stuck together and unsufficiently developed. I still scanned and edited them.

This picture is from the better of the two films, but if you look at the marks in the sky and the somewhat off colors you can see that something went wrong.

I don't shoot much color negative films these days (despite havin a freezer full with it). I have always loved the look from Portra's, Cinestill etc. And most people always get great photos and results with it. Its funny, but I guess I dont use it much because I dont feel it fit my portfolio any more. Guess we find our style and preferences. I just "rambeling" here. Do you feel the same way? Or do you "don't give a f@ck" and shoot what fit the scenes best?

I shoot this with my Mamiya 7ii and Lomography Turquoise.

A photograph from one of the hidden spaces of the Bodleian Libraries taken on my first roll through this camera. I do not often take photographs in my workplace, but this one needed taking, and I was leaving. And the result is ... too good not to share. The developing went a little awry, it seems, with a few streaks; I assume and hope it is not a light leak ... However, in this instance, I like the effect rather a lot, as well as the high contrast of this film, in the context.

Looking out of the Bodleian Library, 2021. Zeiss Ikon Nettar 10.5cm Novar Anastigmat 4.5. Rollei Superpan 200 developed in ID-11.

If you like my photographs, please consider buying a print at my website, captures.life. I haven't yet finished building the site and putting in all of the terms and conditions and policies, but the bits that involve buying a print, having it delivered, and contacting me if anything isn't working or goes wrong are functioning just fine...

My first roll of the new (rather affordable) Kodak Gold 200 film for 120 format - i am quite impressed by the warm and accurate colors! I developed it myself using the Rollei Colorchem C-41 kit, digitized the negatives with a Sony 7R and a Minolta 50 mm Macro lens and treated the negative-scans with my standard procedure in Pixelmator Pro. No further digital tweaking was necessary to get the results i like.
