Seventh Lake is located near Inlet, New York. It is part of the Fulton Chain Lakes in the Adirondacks.
I composed this photograph while travelling in Normandy, France. It is of the Abbaye Sainte-Marie de Longues, a former Benedictine monastery in Longues-sur-Mer, Calvados, Normandy.
It was founded in 1168 by Hugh Wac, of a wealthy local family, and was generously supported by gifts from the English and Norman nobility, and from King Henry II. The prominent families of Bacon of Molay and d'Argouges were particular benefactors of the abbey and several of them were buried there.
In 1781, there is a decree from Monseigneur de Cheylus, bishop of Bayeux, to do away with the abbey, and since then it has changed hands twelve times. In the 19th century, the buildings were progressively degraded and used as a stone quarry to build various houses in the village. The ruins of the church were classified as Historical Monuments in 1915.
June 03, 2017. Kláštor pod Znievom, Slovakia. A retro diesel locomotive T 679.1168 hauling a special freight train from Vrútky to Kremnica, another locomotive - type T 466.0253 pushing that train. This is a fire train that is required by slovak law to securing the passage of a steam train. However, it is also another attractive subject for photography. Some time ago a firefighting action took place around the fire brigade car.
June 01, 2019. Horná Štubňa. Slovakia. Diesel locomotive T679.1168 hauling a special freight train from Vrútky to Kremnica. At the end of the train it goes T478.2011.

Practicing some newly learned color correction skills. Not sure what to think of it. The ‘right’ colors are not necessarily the best. This one turned out okay I think.
Velice neobvyklá návštěva se 23.9. objevila na fotovlaku v okolí Doks a Bělé pod Bezdězem. Vrútecký stroj T679.1168 se postavil do čela nákladu s 12 vozy Faccs. Vlak je vyfocen již na cílové rovince do stanice Jestřebí.
Sperbermännchen mit Erlenzeissig. Ausgerechnet in dem Moment ihabe ich in unseren Garten geschaut als der Sperber im Flug den Erlenzeissig geschlagen hat. Was für ein atemberaubendes Flugmanöver in unserem dicht bepflanzten Garten!!! Zum Glück hatte ich die Kamera gerade griffbereit...
