SNCF Z11517, Varangéville (ligne Nancy - Réding), 07 Février 2020.
Dans un environnement industriel, au milieu de l'usine SOLVAY de Varangéville, une UM de Z2 dans leur version 25 kV, 11517 en tête, assure un TER Nancy - Strasbourg.
2009 konnte man jeden Nachmittag in St. Saphorin am Genfer See eine Ae 6/6 mit Güterzug fotografieren. Im Herbst 2009 war es die 11517, welche ihren Zug entlang der bunten Weinberge nach Lausanne zog.
Mezi Čebínem a Kuřimí projíždí 26. června 2017 lokomotiva 242.261 s osobním vlakem 11517 z Tišnova, který byl vlivem výluky hlavního nádraží v Brně veden odklonem přes Brno dolní nádraží do stanice Modřice.
213 with 7 units and 6 tigers heads west into Brewster on the foggy morning of 1/15/17. The consist was 6352, 6985, 6315, 3016, 106, 301, 305.

SBB 11517 & 11474 bring a short train to a halt adjacent to Erstfeld depot as the sun begins to rise above the mountain tops on the morning of 17th July 2006. This is truly one from the archives, being one of the first trips I made using a digital camera! Because of the difficult light conditions in that location so early in the morning, I was never happy with the results I got from the shot. My thanks go to my good friend Kevin Wood who has assisted me with some post processing that has enabled me to get a much better photograph from my original RAW data.
I had one last chance to catch to catch the 100/103/105 highhood trio before the spring semester started up. Here they are rolling south through Navarre with a decent sized train of freight from Canton for Brewster on the morning of 1/15/17.

La ripresa dell'attività nei cantieri elvetici e la contemporanea scarsità di macchine efficienti ha portato le SBB a far rientrare in servizio una dozzina di Ae6/6 precedentemente accantonate durante lo scorso inverno.
Prevalentemente concentrate sui servizi afferenti le cave zurighesi di Zweilden, lungo la linea Eglisau-Koblenz, e quelle di Hüntwangen lungo quella per Schaffausen, le Ae6/6 trainano quotidianamente varie navette composte da tramogge cariche dirette verso i principali cantieri e stabilimenti del paese.
Nella foto l'unità 11517 "Brunnen", da poco retrocessa nel fascio partenze della stazione di Hüntwangen-Will dopo aver manovrato nel vicino raccordo Holchim, ha appena ricevuto il via libera per procedere verso il vicino ponte sul Reno partendo per la sua destinazione. (25/4/13)
The SBB have decided to call back in service a set of ten Ae6/6 to haul the gravel trains that revolve from the Rhine valley, north from Zürich, to the main Swiss construction sites.
Here the Ae6/6.11517 "Brunnen" is departing from Hüntwangen-Will heading a Holchim train just exited from the local siding. (2013/4/25)
Although the Ae 6/6 class of locomotives was retired from December 2012 on and sided for the autumnal sugar beet campaign, SBB Cargo very quickly found out that they couldn't do without all of them and put 10 locos back in service. Since the summer, they even have official rotations again. One of those scheduled runs is mixed freight 63034 from the Rangierbahnhof Limmattal to the Zürcher Oberland region. Here, Ae 6/6 no. 11517 is still moving about some cement cars, but this time some other stuff as well, approaching Rapperswil, 23-09-2013.

This is the face of someone who is tired of my silly suggestions!
I just adore Rebecca, have from the first time we shot together, we ended up talking for a good few hours about photography after we'd wrapped up shooting, just enjoyed each other's company.
Shot her loads of times, over the years, hung out even more times than that. Friends by the time I went down to San Diego, end of 2017, I had some hotel points, had made plans to shoot someone new later that day, figured hey, let's hang out with Rebecca! She lives down there! She always comes up to LA to hang out, let's return the favor.
And then I have her jumping on beds and sitting on the floor, all the photos at weird angles because I've been watching Mr. Robot (the framing!), and so I get this face, right in between happier/more photo-appropriate faces.
Figure I've probably got loads of shots like this, people who are confused or annoyed or "oh here goes Lou again."
I'll put 'em in a book, "Tired of My Bullshit", $50 on Blurb.

I met Emily at a friend's birthday party, and wanted to take her picture immediately, but she lived down in San Diego, not at all convenient...until another friend moved down there and I got some points for a free hotel room night. Two hour drive south for two photo sessions, that's math I can get behind.
In hindsight, it's always a roll of the dice, taking pictures at an outside location with uncertain light, but between the excellent sun and Emily's excellent outfits, we got a bunch of fine images.
There was an exuberance to her that I found endlessly fascinating to photograph, young but self-possessed, knew exactly what she wanted and where she was going. I envied it and wanted to get it on camera as soon as possible.
