Tren Al Andalus 11318 (Linares-Baeza -> Córdoba) a poco de haber pasado la Bifurcación del Cambiador de Alcolea.
No hace muchos días se comenzó a recordar por algunos grupos de Whatsapp que el tren Al Andalus comenzaba temporada, pero esta vez con horarios nuevos, de los que, por cierto, nos beneficiamos los "trainspotters" cordobeses. Ayer mismo y con el tiempo algo ajustado por los estudios, me encaminé hacia uno de los pocos encuadres decentes que hay más o menos cerca de donde vivo: la curva de entrada a Alcolea (mismo lugar, donde años atrás, pillé el mismo tren en sentido contrario). No fue un mal día en lo que a trenes se refiere, pues para ser sábado la circulación estuvo bastante animada en mercantes. Decir, por ejemplo, que en Alcolea aguardaba el MCT 98365 al tren de la foto. Agradecer a los maquinistas la sonoras pitadas.

Highhoods on tap... a four pack of stoned-noses bring 58 empty stone hoppers into Brewster on the evening of Nov. 3, 2018. The two middle units, 253 and 255, are former NS GP38-2's that were just put on the roster this year. Wheeling picked up five GP38-2 highhoods, and until they are rebuilt and repainted, they will remain... sigh-hoods.

I come back to this place every autumn with a different camera, lens and film combination, but somehow, I never manage to get it quite right.
Silbersalz35 is a German startup that offers Kodak cine film re-packaged in standard 35 mm film cartridges plus development and high resolution scans. Their film is sold in packs of four cartridges. I bought a pack of four 500T cartridges, which I shot, as they recommend, overexposed by one 1 EV. I shot one roll each on a Leica M3, a Zeiss Ikon Contarex, a Nikon F5 and a Canon EOS3.
Judging by the results of this batch, my recommendation would be:
- If you are shooting a scene with artificial lights, by all means overexpose by one stop, it will make the colours of the light pop.
- If the light is brighter, as it was here, then shooting this film at ISO 250 may lead to some overexposure. Then one should go for ISO 400 or even the box value of 500.

Seen leaving Buchanan Bus Station is West Coast Motors Irizar i6 bodied Scania 11318 - M400WCM. New as YT13YUE. The coach was departing Buchanan Bus Station with 926 to Glasgow on the front and whilst trying to change it the Driver erroneously changed it to "926 Edinburgh via Baillieston".
