Die beiden Re 4/4 II 420 283 und 420 262 führen gemeinsam bei Seewen einen nationalen UKV-Zug Richtung Süden.

Einer meiner Wunschbilder auf der mittleren Meienreussbrücke war der Postzug welcher dort zur perfekten Zeit vorbei kommt. Leider hat dieser mittlerweile hinter der Lok Dreier bzw. McDonalds Auflieger dabei. Trotz alledem ist es aus meiner Sicht immer noch einer der schönsten Züge am Gotthard und so konnte an diesem Tag die noch mit alter Nummer versehene 11262 mit eben diesem Zug abgelichtet werden. Mittlerweile erstrahlt die Lok als 420 262 im Cargo Design.

This photo was taken in the same group of trees as two years ago.
In 2016 I saw the bird only on May 23, in 2018 on May 22 and 23. Neither the days before, nor later, despite frequent controls.

In Sachen Schärfe grenzwertig, aber trotzdem interessant: Am 19. September 1991 fuhr die Re 4/4 11262 mit dem IC 914 Zürich – Bern bei Herzogenbuchsee westwärts. Hinter der Lokomotive waren 4 Eurofimawagen eingereiht….

LKO WDM-3D of #11262 shunting the rake of 12232 Chandigarh Lucknow Express into the yard. The sun is 'spot on' on the loco!

Nach dem Ausscheiden der Swiss Express aus dem hochwertigen nationalen Fernverkehr im Jahr 1982 wurden die Speisewagen WR EW III umlackiert und umgebaut. Danach wurden sie bis ins Jahr 2003 weiterhin in IC-Zügen eingesetzt. Hier der von der Re 4/4 11262 geführte IC 871 Basel SBB-Interlaken Ost, aufgenommen am 5. Mai 1995 bei Herzogenbuchsee.
After the Swiss Express left the high-quality national long-distance service in 1982, the dining cars WR EW III were repainted and converted. Afterwards they continued to be used in IC trains until 2003. The picture shows the IC 871 Basel SBB-Interlaken Ost near Herzogenbuchsee, leaded by the Re 4/4 11262, recorded on 5 May 1995.

Test train with some kind of Speno contraption which I did not pay much attention to in the rush to phot the locos while they were reversing in the station. The DVT was used I assume as a barrier, note the brake (?) pipe taped up through the driver's window,
