This is looking straight up the inside of a ladder. This is actually an honest to goodness shot. As far as post processing, there is not hardly anything done to this shot. I removed a minor smudge, and that's about it.

This photo has won quite a few awards and has actually been on display in museum exhibits too :)

Here's a bigger version

Here it is with a black background

I love the way this one turned out! I hope you do too :)

This shot shows how important it is what you leave in and out of a photo. It looks like this hotel is situated somewhere on a lake in the countryside. In fact its situated right along a busy intersection... :)

Boathouse on Lysøen Island (close to Bergen), Norway. Taken from the ferry "Ole Bull" between the island of Lysøen and the main land.

This picture comes from the same original capture as this one, only the cropping is different and the colors were not touched on this one. This is as proposed by some of the reviewers in the 100 points group... Let's do an experiment and see what the rating will become on this one...

This may not be the sharpest of captures (he was running through the water as it gushed through the unpredictable Bugis fountain), but I really liked the emotion that came out on his face and in the moving hands. From an observers point of view, it makes you ponder whether the water was hot or cold.

The Bugis fountain is one of those places where you can go again and again to shoot without getting bored. One of my best shots from there, taken last year.

(edit)

This one seems to have done pretty well too.

Reached #21 for the day on Flickr's 500 Most Interesting! Thanks!!

Thanks for all your kind and helpful comments on this photo. I took this with a FujiFilm Finepix s5000.

I find it amazing that people can have such varied opinions about a picture. I would have blurred the water fall with a longer shutter speed had I had my tripod with me. that was a common thing people wished for, however some people liked the sharpness of the falls.

People either loved having the person in the picture, but that ruined it for others. The rocks in the foreground was either liked or not liked as well.

Wouldn't it be boring, if we all liked the same things!

Thanks again!

This pic of mine is now to become a CHRISTMAS CARD !!! If you live in Chesterfield look out for it ! I'm so excited !!

This spire is twisted and crooked. It's famous for it.

It makes the church look like it is crooked too, trust me it isn't in the pic or in reality .. just the spire is twisted and leans! It leans nearly 9ft to the south and is still moving !

Photo was a 15 second exposure at f/16 on iso 200 with my D70s and a 18-70mm lens at 18mm. Taken on my soft rucksack on my car roof while stopped in a bus stop with hazards on and people waiting for the bus. It didn't come in the 3 mins I was there. It is cropped to cut out a modern building and a taxi that parked up a few seconds into the exposure with headlights on !

Clock at a local shopping center, love this idea, something every day made into a piece of art with the addition of some smart thinking elements - public art is a nice touch and this is out of the ordinary for just a small local shopping center.

Shot in color, converted to sharp BW and some curves and contrast adjustments to give the effect I wanted - in color it was a little busy but in black and white it seems to work so much better.

Question is. Do you like it?

Thanks for all you input on this photo. I have learned a lot. People really hate the circus for the way animals are supposedly treated. I am sure most people do not really know either way. I know I don't.

People either are really good at giving an honest critique about a photo regardless of subject matter or people will slam your photo because of subject matter and will not judge it on the merit of the photograph.

I would see this couple every day. They always went to the open market and would always come down the street with something colorful. They were one of my favorite couples. Lived on the alley I always walked down. Loved the vehicle in the background. Beijing China - August 2006

What's left of a village... During the Tsunami in Dec 2004, this village suffered some destruction and death... BUT the final death nail for this village was when the government decided to evacuate all the villagers and relocate them. This piece of sea front property is now ear marked for redevelopment! All the destruction seen here are not necessary from the tsunami. Many were actually caused by the villagers themselves when they attempted to salvage what ever they can!
