During it's last year of service, the original Class 47 D1500 / 47401 carried the name Star of the East and was repainted into two-tone green livery. It is seen at Melton Ross working 15:00 Lindsey Oil Refinery - West Burton, which had become it's regular turn at that time.

The Montreal Sheraton has a tendency to show up in the background of a lot of my shots, like this Autostitch shot of the CIBC Building or this shot of Le Crystal de la Montagne luxury apartment/condominium building (which itself is in this shot, in the background at the left), but here's an Autostitch shot where it is, for once, the centre of attention.
This 38-storey hotel was finished in 1982 and, at 118 metres, is only the 23rd tallest building in Montreal, according to Emporis, but it seems taller than some of the higher-up buildings on the list because of its slender profile.
I'll admit, I harbour a healthy fetish for 1-inch buttons. I also ♥ my bicicle, so I was quite pleased to receive this set of buttons from my mom for my birthday. They're from The Regional Assembly of Text, a stationairy shop on Main Street in Vancouver – one which has rapidly risen to the top of my 'must visit' list. They have a build-your-own-button station!
