European deer are among the largest (most powerful) members of their family. Males grow 175-230 cm and weigh between 160-240 kg.
The most typical feature for males are antlers, which they drop every year, usually at the end of winter. In the spring, when the antlers grow new antlers, they are covered with a fine protective velvet layer, called a bastard, which nourishes the growing antler and is later beaten by trees. The antlers are made of bone, which can grow an average of 2.5 cm per day. In addition, in adult males, there are some growths on the antlers, which are technically called privileges, and which grow and increase with age.

The whole plant, outside the inner surface of the flower, is covered with whitish or initially rusted hairs. In March, flowers grow from the bare ground among last year's crumbling dry leaves. The stalk grows at the time of flowering hardly reaches 3–15 cm after flowering until it grows to the development of fertility 13–40 cm in height. The passerine is one of the first, large purple flowers of very conspicuous flowering plants and is therefore often referred to as the messenger of spring, similar to the spring primrose (Primula vernis), which "unlocks the ground". The observer is attracted by a chalice full of golden-yellow stamens, as well as later hairy inflorescences with seeds that are spread by the wind. Purple bell-shaped flowers are always upright at first, later they may be overhanging. Anthers are purple, there are six petals. Typical of passerines is a fused crown of leaves on the stem not far from the flower. The fruit is nažka, transferred to the new place by wind (anemochoria). The leaf blade is two to four times pinnate, divided into leaf segments. It creates a rhizome underground.

První plán na vybudování silnice ve Vysokých Taurách překračujících hlavní hřeben Alp poblíž nejvyššího vrcholu Rakouska předložil v roce 1924 dvorní rada Ing. Franz Wallack.
Z vrcholové plošiny přehlédneme 37 vrcholů vyšších než 3000 metrů a 19 ledovců najednou! Druhá odbočka nás zavede přímo k ledovci Pasterze. Nejvyšším bodem samotné silnice je vstupní portál do 2,3 km dlouhého tunelu Hochtor - 2505 m n.m. Nejnižším bodem je Bruck – 755 m n.m.THANK YOU for stopping by and all your faves, and comments.
