Well, here is Luka, my latest custom and she's a keeper for me. What I've been up to? Well, things are a bit crazy here in our new environment. We moved to the wonderful state of Oregon and have settled in a Portland suburb for the moment. My older 2 girls are in school. My kindergartner only is in school for a "half" day which is only 2 1/2 hours so my day is chopped up a lot. My youngest is almost 3 and is on the Autism spectrum so unfortunately, that means dolly time gets put on the back burner and customizing and creating is in the back seat and my first priority is "recovery" for my little guy. But nonetheless, I'm determined to carve out time for myself even if it means hiring a babysitter to hang out with the kiddos while I get some me time. Plus, I need to make extra cash for supplements and other bio-medical treatments so perhaps I'll eventually be able to kill two birds and create and earn enough for these things. Luka is my little pet that reminds me to smile and enjoy the little things. My days are measured by if my little guy does something new, any hint that he is progressing. It's amazing how tiny achievements like him doing the "more" sign or initiating some kind of play will send me over the moon. Some days are better than others. We may take two steps forward and one step back. Sorry for all the cliche's but there you go. That's our life right now. The hubby works nights now and so 3 to 4 days a week it's all on me to take care of the kids. Mind you, I'm not much of a cook. That was Pete's job so I've had to try and do more than boxed mac n cheese. Did I mention I hate cooking? If only Blythes could cook.
