I've been editing my endless photo collection, happily being re-acquainted with some photos taken years ago that still make my heart leap with happiness. 218 409-1 fährt mit ihrem Ersatz-Zug nach Halberstadt an den alten Blöcken der Straße "Am Sudenburger Tor" vorbei, bis vor kurzem war dieses mitten in einem Gleisdreieck gelegene Wohnquartier noch so richtig schön pure DDR. Leider hat man nun damit begonnen in einer möglichst hässlichen Art und Weise diese alten Häuser zu sanieren, eine Blockbebauung aus den Anfängen des 20. Jahrhunderts in einen leicht Amerikanisch angehauchten Laubengang Typus umzubauen...dazu gehört schon sehr viel Mut oder ziemliche Dummheit.
