Met de nodige voorzichtigheid rijdt een rangeerdeel over de Am Zollhafen in Neuss. Oude haveninfrastructuur en moderne samenleving delen hier het straatbeeld. De aanwezigheid van een sportschool op dezelfde kade als waar de ketelwagens behandeld worden is daar een sprekend voorbeeld van. De omwonenden kunnen ogenschijnlijk goed overweg met het extra rommelige leven dat een haven tegen je (stads)balkon aan veroorzaakt. En kennelijk zijn er ook mensen die de haven zo lief hebben, dat ze hun restaurant Hafenliebe dopen. Op het terras kun je de haven proeven en trein aanraken.
I was out beating again today for the local shot and came across the mist sitting on the pond, it was really quite breathtaking.

As you will know I lost 3 of my beloved dogs in a month back last year, broke my heart, 2 of the from eating a poisonous plant, the other from old age. We brought Basil and he is helping to mend my heart. I thought I would do my project this year as a record to him. Hes already grown so much from that 8 week old puppy that we picked up.

Friend or foe? I re-started Slimming world for the hundredth time today, and I'll be doing my measurements tonight before i go to bed. I seriously need to lose a shed load of weight, I'll be taking afull length portrait tonight too, and will do every few weeks, so I can see my progress, I may even show you in a few months time!
It's summertime and the pond is clogged with algae at the Gala Wetland as a great egret takes off. The wetland is a set-aside by the Virginia Department of Transportation in northern Botetourt County to offset wetlands losses from highway projects in other parts of the commonwealth. ©2020 John M.
