An early morning view from Suomenlinna taken from the ferry just arriving to the fortress island. The trees in front were covered with ice after some very cold winter days. In the background there is the dome of Suomenlinna church which serves as a lighthouse as well.
I am waiting for the summer. Almost everything in my Neighborhood looks still gray after the winter. Almost I say. Because if you look careful on the ground You can always find the beautiful color card of Icelandic nature.
The European greenfinch or simply the greenfinch (Chloris chloris) is a small passerine bird in the finch family Fringillidae.
This bird is widespread throughout Europe, North Africa and Southwest Asia. It is mainly resident, but some northernmost populations migrate further south. The greenfinch has also been introduced into Australia, New Zealand, Uruguay, and Argentina. In Malta, it is considered a prestigious songbird, and it has been trapped for many years. It has been domesticated, and many Maltese people breed them. In Hungary, it is threatened. It has just recently been recorded in Quetta, Pakistan.

La Rémiz penduline (Remiz pendulinus)
Anciennement appelée « Mésange rémiz » ou « Mésange de Pologne » est une espèce de passereaux de la famille des Remizidae.
Son aire de répartition géographique s'étend de l'est au sud-est de l'Europe. C'est un migrateur partiel. On le trouve généralement à proximité de l'eau.
Cet oiseau a pour particularité de construire un beau nid tissé en forme de poire ou de boule suspendu à une branche d'arbre.
