Combattant varié (Philomachus pugnax) Plumage internuptial

Réputé pour ses «leks» évoquant une joute de chevaliers dans une cour médiévale, c’est le plus variable et extravagant de tous les limicoles. Dans son plumage discret au passage, le Combattant varié cache bien son jeu: qui pourrait deviner, en voyant ces oiseaux brun terne au dos courbé picorant dans la vase, serrés les uns contre les autres en bonne entente, qu’une fois arrivés sur les terrains de nidification, les mâles vont subir une véritable métamorphose, se parant d’une collerette bouffante multicolore pour se défier sur des arènes.

Op Zaterdag 18 September 2021 organiseerde de stoomstichting Nederland (SSN) naar ongeveer 20 maanden niet te hebben kunnen rijden (Inverband met de uit braak van Corona, en regels daar bij hoorende , maar vandaag was het gelukkig weer zover dat de 01 1075 onderstoom kwam voor een mooie avond rit ,
