It’s been an amazing journey merging my two worlds of F.R.I.E.N.D.s through this project. I really feel like I’ve given so much of myself by sharing these portraits with all of you, my F.R.I.E.N.D. s from all over the world. I’m sure you know me a lot better now. I wanna thank each and everyone who took the time to view my work over this year...each and every comment was extremely appreciated. As you’ve learned, friendship is, for me, one of the greatest treasures we can have in this life, and I feel like a millionaire to have made so many wonderful F.R.I.E.N.D. s in here. Thank you all for the gift of your faithful friendship

The mysterious Postojnska Jama cave is the part of Slovenia which has been carved, shaped and created by water; deep within these world -famous caves hide the most precious beauty created througt millions of years, a drop after a drop, year after a year. More than 26 millions people from all over the world have admired the stalagmites and the stalactites of the Postojnska jama in 175 years of organised tourism. However, ancient signatures in the entrance passages prove that the cave was first visited in the 13th century. The 20-kilometre long underworld system is a miracle in itself, but one gets truly astounded at the look of the mysterious human fish - Olm - Proteus anguinus, wondering at the strange form of life preserved in the underground kingdom. another mystery of the underground. The cave is accessible without special equpment, and has a constant temperature of 8° C. Visitors are taken for a tour of 2km by a special cave train and a walk. 5.3 km of the caves are open to the public accompanied by experienced guides. A visit takes about two hours.

The world-famous Postojna cave is one of the most popular tourist attractions in this part of Europe. It is a 20km long Karst cave system near Postojna. We visit the amazing Postojna Caves where photography is not allowed. But not for me of-course ;-) I kept my LX3 hidden well, but the light is minimum in the giant cave which makes it hard to make any decent photo. This photo was taken on my knee at 1/30s, F2.0 and ISO640.

In het zuiden van Slovenie ligt het Karstgebied. In de poreuze kalksteenbodem zijn in de loop der tijd talloze kloven en grotten ontstaan. In totaal zijn er zo'n 7000 grotten bekend, waarvan enkele tot de grootste en meest indrukwekkende van de wereld behoren. De diepste grot ligt zo'n 1.3 km onder de grond. Het spectaculaire grottenstelsel bij Postonje is zeer de moeite waard om te bezoeken. De grotten in het Karstgebied zijn ontstaan door rivier- en regenwater dat in de loop van miljoenen jaren de ondergrondse ruimtes hebben uitgesleten in de zachte kalksteenbodem. Het grottenstelsel bij Postonja strekt zich uit over meer dan 20 km en nog steeds worden nieuwe stukken ontdekt. De grot van Postojna is vooral indrukwekkend vanwege zijn afmetingen en de hoeveelheid druipstenen. De zalen zijn meestal enorm en aan de stalagmieten en stalactieten lijkt geen einde te komen. Waarschijnlijk is dit een van de meest 'gedecoreerde' grotten in Europa. Zelfs vanuit het treintje dat 2km aardig vlot door de grot rijdt is heel veel te zien. Als je eenmaal wandelt wordt het alleen maar beter. Hoogtepunt van de tocht is een zeldzaam beestje, dat alleen in Slovenië voorkomt: de Proteus Anguinus. Deze bleke grotolm leeft in de rivier die door de grot stroomt. In de grot mag je geen foto's maken, de gidsen attenderen je daar steeds op. Maar ik ben een beetje doof ;-)

اسعد كثيرآ بتواجدكم ..

Este edificio fue construido alrededor del siglo X, y en su origen se trataba de una mezquita musulmana que fue transformada en templo cristiano en el siglo XIII. Volvió a ser transformada en varias ocasiones en siglos posteriores, hasta una última restauración que se llevó a cabo en 1943.

Este castillo de estilo gótico tiene una torre del homenaje de planta octogonal, bajo la que se cobija el sagrario de la interesante iglesia gótica erigida por Alfonso X en la plaza de Armas, que fue construida en ladrillo por mudéjares, lo que hizo creer se trataba de una antigua mezquita. El edificio es un recinto rectangular flanqueado por ocho torres. Todas ellas poseen decoración almohade, están rematadas por almenas en picos y presentan antiguos signos de canteros en sus zonas bajas. El conjunto se rodea de una muralla o cerca no muy alta.

Tengo que decir que he estado por primera vez en mi vida en Gibraltar y sinceramente he de decir que me defraudo enormenente, pense ver algo bonito y ha sido todo lo contrario, creo que no me sale decir eso de Gibraltar español, lo siento pero España es mucho mas bonito. Esto que muestro es lo que mas me ha gustado y llamado la atencion.

Y ahora a título personal os digo que he pasado un día precioso de esos que jamás se olvidan y por supuesto tampoco se olvida uno de todos los compañeros que habéis estado ahí. No fue el mejor día ya que el tiempo no acompaño y el amanecer no quiso darnos los buenos días y ya a la tarde la niebla nos jugó una mala pasada y no hemos podido subir al Sueve. Pero también digo que ahora que ya todo paso no cambio absolutamente nada ya que el día en vuestra compañía ha sido lo mejor y eso es lo que verdaderamente tiene valor para mí y ya en la comida todos juntos a parte de los ricos manjares que nos sirvieron ese momento tan agradable y en camaradería, buen ambiente y buenas conversaciones ha sido el momento inolvidable del día.

Bueno compañeros ya deciros desde ahora mismo que os espero para el año que viene, que empezaremos ya a mirar que se puede hacer y que intentaremos que sea mejor que esta y le pondremos huevos a Santa Clara o a quien haga falta para que el tiempo nos acompañe eh jajaaa

The temples of Bagan is quite possibly one of the most amazing archeological sites in the world. There are over 4400 temples that remain and one can spend weeks exploring them.

Bagan, formerly Pagan, is an ancient city in Burma. Formally titled Arimaddanapura or Arimaddana (the City of the Enemy Crusher) and also known as Tambadipa (the Land of Copper) or Tassadessa (the Parched Land), it was the capital of several ancient kingdoms in Burma. The ruins of Bagan cover an area of 16 square miles (41 km2). The majority of its buildings were built in the 11th century to 13th century, during the time Bagan was the capital of the First Burmese Empire.

Set on a hill 130 meters high, the area of Montmartre looks grandly out over all of Paris. The name "Montmartre" comes from "Mont des Martyrs" (the bishop St. Denis, the priest Rustique, and the archdeacon Eleuthère were all decapitated there around the year 250). In the 12th century, Benedictine monks built a monastery near Rue des Abesses. It later became the seat of a powerful abbey.

The Montmartre area was the center of a lot of activity during the Paris Commune in 1871. Despite the resistance of the people of Montmartre, the area remained under Federal control from March 18 until May 23.

The end of the 19th century saw Montmartre to be the center of artistic life in Paris and the model of a free, bohemian existence. Many artists, from Berlioz to Picasso, lived, worked, and played here. These creative spirits (and their café, the Lapin Agile) helped keep this area the city's intellectual and artistic center up until the first World War.

El río Barcenillas o río Lador es un curso fluvial de Cantabria (España), se encuentra en la reserva natural del Saja - Nansa.

Lo más destacado de su recorrido son las llamadas cascadas (o saltos ) de Úrsula, cerca de Lamiña, en Cabuérniga, situadas en un paraje de belleza mágica.

The highlight of their trip are called cascades (or Jumps) of Ursula, near of Lamiña, Cabuérniga, located in a place of magical beauty.

With maps, a mountain range, a piggy bank, a vision too removed to mention.

I took this a couple of weeks ago while driving to visit my brother. I've been so busy editing wedding photos I just now realized I needed to post this.

A guy in a work truck pulled up just as I was about to take these pictures, and I was sure he was going to chase me off, since I was about 50 feet from a windmill at one point, but he just kind of watched me suspiciously and then drove away. So, apparently this is totally an okay thing to do. Good to know for the future. :)

There is something beautiful and grand and magnificent about wind farms, about windmills. They're unimaginably big: I can't convey it in a photo. They move like deliberate, towering giants, whirring softly behind the hissing current of the wind. I find them strangely graceful.

After spending a huge amount of time photographing in and around the Eiffel Tower (La Tour Eiffel) we decided to call it a night. Mainly due to the fact that it closed at midnight. I got a few snaps of it at night, then at 01:00 it sparkled blue, as it does every night on the hour, every hour. I got yet another photo of this famous landmark and thought I'd frame it using the Wall For Peace (Le Mur pour La Paix).

It turns out that they turn the lights out at 01:00 until the next evening. I was slightly gutted at this, but I thought I'd take this shot anyway. As it turns out, I really like the result. It's not often you see the Eiffel Tower at night, not lit up, framed by this monument. The whole thing has a sort of futuristic feel to it. I'm not too sure if that's the right word, so please tell me what you think. I'm quite happy with the colour contrast of the grass and the subtle colours in the night sky. A nice semi-accidental shot.
