Let's move from Prague to Munich :)
After Prague we went to Munich on short notice
Station Georg-Brauchle-Ring of the U1 line.
Info
Georg-Brauchle-Ring is an U-Bahn station in Munich on the U1. It is located below the Georg-Brauchle-Ring, part of Munich's Mittlerer Ring ring road system. It opened on 18 October 2003. Artist Franz Ackermann produced two coloured walls for the station entitled The Great Journey and consisting of 400 panels, each wall weighing 30 tons
Technique/Processing
Handheld - only 1/15s this time - so no problem at ISO 1000 - i really love the ISO Auto function of the D700 - you can concentrate on the subject instead of having to adjust your exposure/ISO every time.
Developed from RAW in Photoshop - one exposure for the lights (especially the clocks - they were completely white out of cam) and one for the rest and then combined them by layer masking.
A little contrast added, by applying a slight S-curve.
After that i added some 'glamour glow' to the lights on the ceiling and their reflections to make them look softer.

On this occasion, the wally was me! Why? For forgetting to take my Lumix off the rock on the bottom right of the image when I was taking it :p I've cloned it out now of course :)
Also cloned out the big buoy between the island and mainland (see previous picture), as well as the dust bunnies I've got, and had to straighten the lighthouse as well as the 10-20mm at 10mm doesn't half have some distortion :)
Oddly enough the colour is the one thing I've not touched in post-pro, I spent far too much time (ok 10 minutes) cloning out the camera, buoy and straightening the lighthouse that I was fedup already by then).

One of my favourite walks is through the port, watching the names and origin ports of ships, exotic names for me: Varna, Odessa, Vladivostok, Nassau... It makes me dream of far travels abroad. Today we had this fine collection of vessels in the closest dock to the city. The three-masted ship is a replica of the spanish flagship at Trafalgar, it is permanently anchored in Málaga and used as a floating restaurant.
This is one of the old buildings little m and I saw on our road trip to eastern WA this past weekend. Did some blurring of the clouds to make this amazing structure stand out. Had some help from expert editor vinny , thanks Vinny! Out of all the old structures we saw, I have to say this was in my top two for interest. I will be photographing some spring flowers soon for all you color lovers out there. Will be stopping by your streams tomorrow. And as always thanks for your visit :) Don't forget to play a trick on someone you love today!

Mexico City International Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto Internacional de la Ciudad de México or AICM), also called Benito Juárez International Airport (IATA: MEX, ICAO: MMMX) is a commercial airport that serves Mexico City, the capital of Mexico. It is Mexico's and Latin America's busiest.
This hot and high airport offers direct flights to more than 100 destinations worldwide. In 2009, the airport served 24,243,056 passengers, a decrease of 7.5% compared with 2008, who received 26,210,217. This modest decline was mainly due to the global financial crisis and the outbreak of influenza. In optimal conditions, and with the current renovations and expansion projects completed, the Benito Juárez airport will be able to handle up to 32 million passengers per year.[3]. It provides non-stop services from Mexico City to North America, Central America and Caribbean, South America, Europe and Asia.

Welcome to Tad Yuang waterfalls. Located on the Bolaven Plateau, which was formed by an ancient volcano in Southern Laos, one of the most scenic spots in the region. Going downward on a paved trail is the magnificent dual torrent and multi-tiered waterfalls of Tad Yuang. It falls into a deep pool surrounded by lush vegetation leading to a thick forest. There were no other people at that time we were there. The falls themselves drop far below. Beyond the waterfalls stretches the extensive jungle of Dong Hua Sao, one of the 18 National Biodiversity Conservation Areas in the country. Open since 2000, trekking trails are the best and perhaps the only way to get into the park. Dong Hau Sao is home to a healthy population of tigers, though you are more likely to see monkey, gigantic butterflies and in the wet season, dozens of great horn-bills who like to hang out at the bottom of the falls. Thanks to its location on an elevation of 1300 meters and surrounded by clouds forests, temperatures are much lower than elsewhere in Laos. A cloud forest, is a tropical evergreen highland moist forest characterized by a high incidence of low-level cloud cover, usually at the canopy level. Within cloud forests, much of the condensation is in the form of fog drip, where fog condenses on tree leaves and then drips onto the ground below. Even in the hottest period of the year, March and April, temperatures in the daytime usually do not reach over 27 Celsius, while at night it cools down considerably. Starting July, when rain starts to fall more regularly, temperatures drop and a sweater in addition to a rain coat is recommended. Do definitely pack warm clothes when staying with us between November and February.
Photo of Tad Yuang waterfall of Dong Hua Sao National park near Paksong - Southern Laos - taken during our trekking. This fall is located up to 1300 meters above sea level, with the cool climate, abundant rainfall and rich volcanic soil. My son BieJee and daughter Samantha are going downward on a paved trail towards this magnificent viewpoint near one of the falls. A place where you don't stay dry. A beautiful view on the edge of a hill overlooking the mist-covered jungle mountainside waterfalls. The real beauty of cloud forest. An endless flow of water is created and if windy, the mist sprays over the remote mountains into the rainforest and created this misty and beautiful atmosphere. Tropical cloud forests are a rare type of evergreen mountain forest found in tropical areas where local climatic conditions cause cloud and mist to be regularly in contact with the forest vegetation. These forests support ecosystems of distinctive floristic and structural form and contain a large number of the world’s endemic and threatened species. The endless cool breeze helps capture a full taste of nature. It is a ideal spot for tourists to relax and enjoy nature.

This week winter came back and brought a lot of snow again. On Friday it has been a very cold and misty morning. I could watch the lovely sunrise from my balcony shortly before going to work.
It was not so spectacular like the one you can see in my comment but I love the mood. Although the atmosphere was really beautiful, I'm still looking for Spring ;-) !
If you have time view Large On Black

A steel mill on a river late in the day. The water was very calm today, I have never seen this part of the river so calm at this time of the day, you can see the water "gently" flowing by.
About the Photo

I shot this on a tripod using mirror lockup, a polarizing filter, and a 2Sec. selftimer. This is composed of six exposures, one average exposure, three 1 stop underexposures, and two 1 stop overexposures. I opened the RAW files in Photomatix Pro and toned mapped them to my liking. Then I used ACR to polish up the 16 bit TIFF file and opened it in CS4 were I removed dust spots and added my watermark.

The jumping spider is typically found in tropic regions. The tropic regions that they are found in are very different, anywhere from the rain forest to the Himalayas. The jumping spider can be found anywhere in these climates, if its day the spider can be found on the ground, on rocks, in the grass, or on trees. At night or if it is raining, the jumping spider will hide under rocks or a small web.

Earlier today, we attender another fortheloveofbrooklyn meet up in Gowanus. I was really surprised that there was about 20 people that turned out, compared to about 6 last month. So I wanted to try something new and do a pano of the entire group. Not sure how great the results are but hey, its something.

Day 60 - March 1, 2010
Tonight I met up for the first time with long-time Flickr contact Dux and his future best man Mark. It was actually my first Flickr meet up with someone from the Philippines, my third of all time.
My first Flickr meet was with Adrian, Amanda and Stephanie back in November of 2009 when I visited Guam. The second this January with Ron when Adrian visited the Philippines.
Tonight's photo walk was very brief and more time was spent talking than shooting photos but it was alright, in fact that was all I really wanted to do tonight.
The cool thing about tonight is that even from this brief three-hour meet I could already sense that Dux & Mark are going to end up being really good friends, just like Adrian and the Guam gang have become to me. Flickr hasn't got it wrong yet!
Who wants to meet up next? And if you could meet up with any Flickr contact who would it be and why (you don't have to say me)?
PHOTO NOTES:
This is my first strobist attempt, but don't know if it counts since Dux set it up for me and even told me what the best camera settings would be. Here's the strobist info:

Today I have been driving back to my hometown, the places where I have grown up. There comes a time in the year when I can really smell in the air the taste of spring coming up, and this was the day. I went there to take pictures of the sunset (which actually I did some), but on the other side of the horizon, I hesitated in front of an unexpected moonrise. It looked gorgeous, as the air was very clear. That awesome moon, floating on the top of my long-known hills, still lit by the last sunrays, started to pour a river of memories into my mind. I could not stop the superposition of fragments of those memories, just at random… the cans of cheap beer barely hidden and the first cigarettes stolen from our parents, the many dreams about our future lives and what we would have become, the first challenges of love, no worries about tomorrow and the uncertainty about the present time.
Tonight, for a handful of minutes, I felt again the same, just until the sun faded finally behind me.
Dedicated to all of those who look in depth at the details
PS: By the way, I don't smoke (anymore) but still like beer :) It helps to remember...

The first song I could think of was: Rocket Man
Have you ever imagined how our satellite would show up from the window of a spaceship? This picture shows how the naked eye would see from just a few dozen thousand kms instead of the usual 380,000. A Newtonian telescope with 2500 mm focal length has been used

Ninna nanna o mio tesoro
Dormi, dormi mio bambino
fior di pesco e mughettino,
dormi qui nel tuo lettino
e sarò a te sempre vicino.
Sogna un mondo colorato,
dormi bene mio adorato.
Tra le braccia di papà
che mai più ti lascerà.
Dormi bene mio bambino
che il mattino è già vicino,
porta tante cose belle
fiori, stelle e caramelle.
Questi versi son un girotondo
da ballare tutti intorno,
Ninna nanna, ninna ho
t’amo tanto o mio tesoro.
