The view from Chicago's Wolf Point is ever changing. This is where the three branches of the Chicago River meet and in non-frozen months, there's always boat traffic. If you wait long enough, you can get train and boat traffic.

Lensbaby Edge 50 + Composer Pro
I call this tilt-shift-ish because an actual tilt-shift lens is meant to correct perspectives when shooting architecture. The Lensbaby + Composer combo doesn't do that.

Constantly changing, the view from Chicago's Wolf Point is fantastic at early blue hour. The office lights are just becoming visible, but there's still plenty of light --- and the trains are still running frequently enough so you aren't waiting forever between shots.

I only every seemed to visit this carousel at night on a cold, blustery late fall day. It was often kinda weird. Such a bright, animated ride with people shuffling about keeping to themselves. An odd juxtaposition for sure.

The tiny L train moves through a bokeh-filled, city streetscape.
Here I've used a Lensbaby Edge 50 mounted with the Composer Pro II to get that tilt-shift miniature style. What I like about optical tilt-shift vs. in-edit is that nice bokeh and blur!

The view of Bozeman from Snowfill Recreation Area after wild weather was a glorious. The clouds parted and the sun beamed down directly over the city. Moments later the clouds filled in and the sun set. It all happened in just a few minutes, but I happened to be ready.

When you visit the Alhambra in Granada, don't forget about the adjacent Palace of Charles V. Being a Renaissance-style residence, it's stylistically quite different but offers wonderful scenes just the same.

Built in 1921, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places June 6, 1979, and was listed as a Chicago Landmark January 28, 1983.

A cool classic boat heads toward the 150 North Riverside Building at the Chicago River Confluence.
150 North Riverside has a slenderness ratio of 20:1 at the base then rises to 229m tall. This means that only 25% of the lot was used and the rest is a park and mini-amphitheater. Though I think this is small comfort for those living at the Randolph Place Condos that had their river views blocked.
